Picking up Barry's shortblock when I leave work today.
The goal is to DRIVE the car by Sunday night.

I would NEVER rush an assembly... But if you can do in a day, then do it!

Good Luck Sir. It once took me 30 hours to assemble a plastic 1:12 scale small block, it will be a longshot.

Sure....why not. That is 48 Hrs to reinstall an engine. You took the damn thing out in a day, why not the reverse?

Know your limits?

If it's within your limits, then do. If not, then don't.

I'm sure Barry would rather the speed for the car, not for the delivery.

Good luck bro.

Just get this one right. Fast is fine, accuracy is final.

Secret Weapon?

Let's not forget, 'ol Zacky has the Beckster to support him, now. That means shorter breaks, being kept fed and watered for greater endurance, and a parts runner if there need be.

I'm bettin you CAN do it. Just don't sacrifice quality (as I'm sure you wouldn't).

I know you can do it. I removed and installed a long block in 14 hours in the parking lot of Sewanee University for a split windshield VW Van.

They delivered the block to an elderly ladies front porch. I hear she freaked out, but left it there not knowing what to do.

She was so happy that we took it off the from porch she made us lemonade and sandwiches.:D

I drove it home to New Orleans the next day, then to NY and back. Then my brother drove it to New Port, RI and back.

Good luck, I know u will not need it.

Bad news.
The Melling oil pump I ordered on Wednesday is now on its way back to Kentucky because the sender, ModularDepot, completely fudged my address.
Got the house number, and street number wrong.

Guess all bets are off. Boo Hoo

The cylinder heads are on!
As soon as I finished that, a local guy by the name of Chris came by and I ended up pulling his transmission.
Its getting rebuilt first of the week.

Haha don't worry about it man. Berry needs to be rolling again and thats more important than me wanting to go faster, besides he had dibs on Zacks labor before I did. Zack if you got the part I know you could have done it. :bows:
