You cannot renew or extend the Ford ExtraCARE or PremiumCARE warranties.
They have to be purchased before your vehicle reaches 3 years and 36,000 miles.

There are ways of buying the warranty without the vehicle age and mileage check.

The mailings you are getting are from the scammers using
the DMV's public mailing lists that indicate your vehicle's make,
model and age.
Don't fall for their claims.
They will just take your money and deny all your claims.

You could get a secondary warranty, contact oh what are there names lube something. Lubrico I think. Oh that won't work unless you buy from the car from them.

There are others though.

On the otherhand there are also alot of people who say that extended warranties are not worth it. (with few exceptions)

I only buy extended warranties on things that I can only say will breakdown and cost too much to fix or replace. My Sony Home Theatre Projectors for instance. Those I warranty up with Sony and never have to worry when they quit working, which can be often for some models. Cars I'm leary of extending. Sure it is nice to have the warranty but warranties are often denied and can come down to you saying it broke and they saying you abused your car, your fault no warranty. (This happens with Subarus all the time and alot of these times it is true people abuse their WRX's and then try to get them warranty fixed. And they don't)

Now if you have a drive shaft failure and you say you were not going 125mph but they think you were, well your warranty work will be refused and you are out of luck, and a driveshaft. You could sue them but if you lose, like one guy did with Subaru you too could be stuck with a legal bill like Subaru's $85,000 one. That is an expensive driveshaft. (or whatever)

Extended warranty is junk. I sing the same song everytime this question comes up. Every little thing goes wrong and you always have to pay for the first $100, at least in my old plan. Everything amounts to like $104 and nothing major ever went wrong. My wiring went out and the dealer denied service.... it's F-ing junk. Stay Away! :mad2:

Only use Ford Extended Warranty. I have mine to 75,000 miles. My A/C dash air vents quit this week and will need a new control head - $600 just for the part. My cost is $50.00

It is called a DEDUCTABLE.
By the way on every FORD ESP plan other than powertraincare wiring concerns should be covered if not damaged from aftermarket installation.

The car was still stock, except for an air filter.

Ford has whats called a "goodwill" warranty that EVERY VEHICLE HAS for 7 yrs or 75k. It carries a $50 deductable. Ask your service writer about it. He will give you details of what it covers.

PS: You only get 3 of these. Use them wisely

++++++++++++1

ONLY BUY WARRANTEES FROM FORD OR EASY CARE (which is an off-brand Ford ESP. Again, only available at Ford)

Dealer Goodwill known as "AWA"(after warranty adjustment) has to follow strict guidelines from FORD. Such as it is available to only the original owner of a new car, not even a used car bought at the same dealer who you are at for service, and no way on a used car bought privately. You have to be a good service customer, translation spend money in dealer for non warranty service. There is no deductable only what FORD calls "customer participation" which FORD would like to see customer pay as much as 50% of retail repair. The less they take from you affects their relationship with FORD, and future indealer decisions without rep approval. Some dealers bend the rules if they have a good relationship with you. That would disappear with any kind of bad attitude, getting loud or abusive with service dept.
