In reading of previous posts I have realized that our cars need an 'adapter' at the tire shop(Or let the air out) This concerns me (scratched rims) and I would like to know if any of you (carfixer?) know of qualified shops to take care of this procedure correctly. I noticed a wobble in the steering wheel when I hit about 75 or so. I live in Bonita Springs and work in Naples. I was going to take it in to the tire guy I always went to for previous Grand Marquis, but after a little research here, I had second thoughts. Any suggetions? Thanks

Head north to Scanlon LM in Ft Myers.
Give carfixer(Claude) a call there ..... he'll be sure to see you get hooked up right with the balance &/or a wheel alignment.

Are you talking about a front end wheel alignment or a tire balance.....:confused:you don't need any special machine for the tire balance, as long as you get the road force balance you'll be alright.:cool4:

I'm actually not really sure, I know that there is vibration happening in the steering wheel and the body. Not constant, but cyclical. It will vibrate the steering wheel, then the body, then the steering wheel, then the body, etc.... and only when I get to about 75 or so. I think carfixer knows a thing or two about these cars, and he is only about twenty minutes from me, so hopefully he can solve my problem. Thanks rjs

You don't need adapters for a tire balance. It sounds like you have a wheel balance issue, not an alignment issue. Hopefully he has a Hunter road force 9700 machine. I have the same vibration and have never gotten rid of it, even using the road force machine, new wheels, new tires, etc. Minor but annoying. I'm not the only one. If you are running KDWs it may be the tires -
