On the way home from DR's, yesterday, traffic sucked. I was feeling out my new suspension goodies and new HP as well as enjoying my new sound system (read 'louder exhaust'). I got into a run with a Corvette and a Porsche. Fun drive. Later, an aggressive SRT-10 was weaving the traffic.

A few miles up, the traffic thinned. I had a chance to break away. Soon after the black 4D SRT-10 broke away as well. He pulled up behind me at about 80. I yielded the left lane. He then let off and cruised next to me. So, I slowed. As did he. We ultimately dropped to about 65. I've had enough of this crap, so I drop the OD and hammer it, instantly pulling my door to his front bumper. He must have been waiting for it, cuz he hammered it, too. I stayed in it to about 125-130, all the while gaining inches. When I got out of it his front bumper had moved from the door to the trunk.

I was ecstatic to have given away 3.7L and 2 cylinders and still pulled on an SRT-10! Well, I guess he wasn't so happy, because every time traffic thinned he wanted more. Leslie said, "You already pulled him, you have nothing left to prove..." Of course, she was right, so I just let him do his thing while I cruised in the mid 80's.

He finally exited the highway. And I grinned, knowing and explaining to Leslie just how much more displacement that truck had and how much more money it cost and still he got pulled. Not whooped, but definately pulled.

Here, Hemi, Hemi!!!!

Is your car normally asparated? As a owner of a 4 door SRT-10 I know that 1/4 track times for for my truck are Mid 13's @ 102 mph. I don't know of any N/A Marauders that can go that fast. But I may be wrong....

I SURE I'd lose at the track! This was from about 65 to about 125.

I'm N/A but heavily modded. 1/4 mile was 14.2 (in Florida heat and humidity), but had just gotten headers and a tune and I haven't been to the track again yet.

Edit: I see you're in DE, so perhaps if we corrected for temp/humidity and my latest mods, it'd be about even!!! The SRT-10 would be a bit slower than yours (due to conditions) and my car would be a bit faster (due to mods).

I do know of a 13.75 NA Marauder....

Heres a GM that has run 13.56 with a NA motor. The SRT10 would be a good race! This is Marauder powered.

I would love to have that race. I love the Marauder and the quickness, but there is no comparison to the SRT-10 When it comes to power to the pavement. The best time I had was 13.56 which would match Johnkuhn. It would be interesting to see who tripped the light first. And my truck is bone-stock, down to the OEM air filter. Not bad for a vehicle that weighs 6,000 lbs. I'm told a tune really perks it up but I'm in it for the warranty. I figure mid-13's in a stock vehicle is fast enough for me. And the 7 year factory warranty doesn't hurt either.

I can attest to that!

I saw your SRT-10 "putting the power to the pavement" as well as a LOT of burned rubber in front of Bert's restaurant!

The SRT-10 has the Viper Motor. The Quad cab are automatic, the Regular Cabs are Standard. But I will be bringing the Marauder to MVV. When in Rome......

Actually the 4 doors run about 15.1 at the track... no joke.

Not the SRT-10. And I have the time slips to prove it.

I've been driving a 2006 SRT10 Quad Cab for about three weeks and I am averaging about 8 to 9mpg. At $100 a tank I'd rather leave it in the driveway. When I drove it back from Tampa I got 11mpg on the highway! And, it really isn't all that much fun to drive. I am picking up my Marauder TOMORROW!!!!! Now, to spend money on the current motor or throw a Cammer in later that is the question....

6,000#'s, that also has an 8.0 V10 liter engine, yea I would think it would move. The Marauder is no light weight either. Put that engine in your car and then you'll see what's up.

What were you running with your 4 door stock?

I read in some car magizine that it runs 15.1 than again it said we only do 15.7 stock... ya I've kinda had it with the press. :flamer:

The truck is fun to drive but my trips to the track will be in the Marauder from now on. the SRT-10 is not consistent. The torque to the rear wheels makes it to hard to hook to the pavement (even with 22" wheels!!!). If I can get the tires to stick it will run mid 13's. If they don't you could be in the mid 15's with lousy 60 and 330 ft times. The Marauder will run 14.70's all day long an no prep is needed to make it hook. And yes mileage in the 9 to 10 mpg range is all you will get highway or city. I got up to 10.5 mpg with the cruise on @ 65-70. Also the 24 gal tank takes gettig used to. At around $3 a gallon I normally leave $75 at the pump every fill up. But I didn't buy it for the gas mileage, Just like the Marauder...

24 gallon tank? That's a small tank for a truck. My Dad's '04 F-150 has a 31 gallon tank, and he uses 93 octane thanks to his Xcal2.

Is mid-13s what the SRT-10 runs normally stock, or is that with a good driver? You said it was inconsistent. A friend has one and wants to run me at the track sometime and I am curious. I doubt he has gone to the track with it.

Does he have the regular cab or extended cab? The regular cabs are manual, and if he's good with it, he will dust you. If he has the extended cab (auto) you could have a good chance.

I have recently shown an SRT-10 my tail lights.

We were at a light, we exchanged the " Hey nice ride" stuff and then I suggested we race across the intersection, with the white lines its easy to see who won;)

I have done this a few times, they don't leave the line well

BUt I will say, a white mustang GT got me, I had no traction at all, car kicked out to the left and my wife went hay-wire.....so he won

it was 2 lanes on each side, atleast 60 to 90 feet I would guess

The 15 sec times were with the tires @ 38psi. By going down to 25 psi and heating up the tires I got down to 13.56 with the overdrive disengaged and leaving it in drive. And if it hooks it will run those all day long. But it will spin the tires through the 1, 2, and 3 shift at the track if you don't get the tires good and hot. They don't make a drag radial for the 22" rims so until the tires wear out I don't have many options. I plan on getting the BFG KDWS's as replacement tires. I believe the real torque multiplier is the 4.56 gearing. But the regular cabs are known to go high 12's stock. It will depend on whether the truck will hook or not. It's big and heavy but it moves!!!!

Motor Trend got 13.6 from the Quad cab SRT-10, so you sound right on the money. They also got 13.0 for the regular cab and 15.1 for a regular cab Hemi (maybe thats what the earlier gent was thinking of?)
