There is an "authorized ford replacement part" number of 3w3z-6006-aarm, aluminum block dohc 4.6, and a build date of 8/8/05. This isnt a marauder motor, is it?

I don't know but i thinkthe part number for the Marauder engine is 3W3Z-6007-AA
so you'd think the replacement would be 3W3Z-6007-AARM ?

Isn't that what a "authorized ford replacement part" is when it comes to engines? I don't think there are any Ford authorised manufacturers of replacement engines other than rebuilders.

I don't know if it is from a Marauder, but I do know that the rm at the end of part number is "remanufactured". I don't remember and can't be sure, but the middle number (FORD basic part number) 6006 should be for a remanufacted engine replacement, and 6007 is for a new engine assembly
Any FORD parts guys out there to chime in please.
