Yep, same problem. I've been using Zaino products on mine, but still seeing the wear problem.

BTW, didn't have this issue on my '04 DTR, so it looks like it must be some inconsistency in the dying/tanning process.

I wonder if they're polishing the damned thing off. :dunno:

Are you using Lexol? That's the best, y'know. :)

I don't do a dayum thing to my leather except the occasional Mequire's pre-moistened leather wipe. I have NO wear problems at all. It's 03 with 54K and lives outside in the Florida sunshine. I do have 35% tints.

No wear here.

Could it be the clothing you are wearing or the way you are entering/exiting the vehicle? Such as pushing back on the seatback to clear your feet and draging your back across the seat?

I can only remember one other report of this.

IF this were common we would be hearing more of it.

our seats are spray dyed, which will lend itself to the color wearing off. If they were vat dyed it wouldnt be as much of a problem. Look at the German cars, for the most part they are vat dyed leather, and the color doesnt run or wear off as much/as fast.

I think some of you guys are over treating the leather of your seats.
