Alright well I want to run more boost and I know you cannot safely do that on a stock engine. What little effort will I have to make in order to make more boost with minimal fear of damage? I know some internals have to be changed so what do I need to do? Modify the heads, change the heads, change the pistons???

I have no plans anytime soon, I just wanna know what to do.

Forged bottom end. Crank, rods, and pistons. A ported intake is a bonus when boosting an engine.

This may sound sill but get a GatorBack belt!! It gave me noticeably more midrange and top end power (SOTP)......My guess was the Gates belt was slipping??

You can also go to a smaller pulley??

By the looks of it I can only afford slicks with wheels or headers by the end of summer. Just wanna know what are common mods to do to get into the low 12s.

I don't think you will achieve low twelves, even if you did both exhaust and headers.
You will need a converter and slicks & gears as well.
It ain't that easy!

With my stock motor I ran a 3.60 pulley (12.5 lbs boost) but had to upgrqade to 60 lb injectors and a Diablosport Mafia MAF extender and better fuel pumps. Had DR Cobra manifolds, x-pipe with Delta 50 Flowmasters at the time.. Also a Scott Beer proper tune, Nitto DR's and I ran consistant 12.3 & 12.4's in the hot Florida weather.
