Steering

to any ford tecks out there. i have a 01 Grand Marquis, i want my steering to be more precise,. i just found out i dont have rack and pinion steering, but the 03 marauder and grand marquis has it, my question is,........... would the 03 GM steering rack, fit in my 01 GM, so i can change out the pinion for a shorter one and have user freindly steering.

You cannot put rack and pinion steering in your car. The 01 and 03 Panthers have different front cross members and suspensions.

I am not sure if you could swap the front assemblies to get rack and pinion steering. It would be a lot of work on a guess.
