I received my new girdle cover for the rear end. since it's much deeper than stock, the diff, will now hold more fluid. does anyone know how much extra fluid to add? it has a fill hole, do I just fill it all the way up??

Since the OEM cover does not have a fill hole, the normal filling procedure is probably to fill all the way to the bottom of the original fill hole, which should be at the front of the differential. I would just fill it the same way, using the same fill hole. If you use the fill hole at the top of the girdle cover you'll be way overfilled. That could cause blown seals, overflow tube spillage, and other bad things.

I always thought you used the pinky method... but that works too...

2 quarts plus your limited slip additive ( 4 oz.)

You can use the fill hole on the new cover, it's easier. But remove the origional plug from the housing. Put your friction modifier in first, then fill with fluid till it starts to come out the fill holr on the housing. Easy.

Good thinking there, Looking. As for friction modifier, I was told that 2 bottles are required. Don't know for sure, just passing on the info.
