 Howsit guys, This subject came up on another thread...But for fear of high-jacking that thread, I thought of just asking the question here.
The theory behind the Granatelli plug WIRES sound correct, and I 'am considering getting a set. I understand that the COILS are not so good, and have no interest in them.
Some here have reported GOOD results using them (wires), while others have advised against it...I 'am N/A and thought it will add just a little "strength" to the spark, and help in the low end....Besides the "bic pen" wires look weak and I don't trust them. Any thoughts will be greatly appreciated...Thanks...ALOHA :burnout:

I installed them in my Marauder at about 30,000 miles.
I am N/A with a K&N Aurcharger/Drycharger and Lidio's 3.55 tune.
After installing the Granatelli wires with the stock coils and plugs,
my idle was much smoother and startups were also smoother.
With the tune and the wires, I could spin the tires just by burying the pedal.
Before the wires, my startups were always rough
until the engine got a little warm.
I could feel the vibration of the engine.
When I removed the FORD springs, 3 or 4 of them were discolored
as if they were arcing or overheating.
There are lots of mixed results with the usage of the wires.
Before I installed them, I took them to my dealer and showed them
to the tech that services my Marauder.
He asked me how much they were, and replied that for the same price
you get the skimpy springs that FORD makes.
He said with these wires, a lot of ignition problems would be solved.
He felt that they were something that FORD should have used from the start.
At 75,000 miles, I changed my plugs because I was getting
a heavy miss without a Check Engine Light, and a rough idle.
Usually when a plug goes bad, you will get a Check Engine Light for a misfire.
I don't know if the wires prevented the light from coming on or not.
I changed out all my plugs for the Motorcraft SP505 copper plugs,
instead of the stock replacement Motorcraft SP433 Iridium plugs.
Used the same set of Granatelli wires and boots.
NONE of the wires were discolored at all.
They looked like the day I installed them.
The miss is gone and the idle is back to normal.

Yes they are.
$177 is too much for them.
I don't remember what Wes was selling them for in the group buy.
I think it was less than $150.
Too bad he can't get more...

I bought mine from Jegs for $110 but it looks like they wised up: $178 like Summit now.

Same here! I also saw a slight increase in gas mileage. Now that I have some good NGK plugs I can benefit more from having those Granatelli wires.

Thanks guys...That's what I was hoping for...Ordered a set from Jegs @$144.00...Wanted to get it before the price jump (Summit). ALOHA
BTW: I'm shooting for staying N/A, and being able to spin the tires with just (hard) throttle. It feels like it's really close to doing it...just need to get over a little more...
