I took the Marauder into a wheel shop and they told me it is $150 to refinish and repair each rim from being sc***** and bent.... $600 total. Can these rims be fixed as easy as any other rim and does this sound like the proper price?

Dom, these rims are forged polished aluminium, and clear-coated.
$150 ea. sounds too cheap, especially if they're bent. I'm not sure you CAN safely repair a bent aluminium rim. I thought only steel could be repaired like that, but I've been wrong once or twice before... ;)

Ask to see pictures of some of their work and ask for some referrals.

I think you can safely repair a forged rim as long as it's not bent too much. The only repair I'd do on a cast wheel is refinish it.

fbm, I think you're correct. This is what happens when I don't pay attention to my own replies... :shake:
