Hello everyone i installed the JLT intake today and i like it . Yes the sound from the hood is impressive but thats only the start of it . i took a ride down the shore and i noticed better thottle response. i have no numbers to compare but i did several runs from 0-100 and in a nice controlled acceleration i did not need to go to 6k rpm i was over 100 aropund 5krpm. of course a couple times i did go to 6k for the fun of it. Also noticed hitting speeds at lower rpm than before so it does build more.
I also bought the pvc pre filter and installed it fits good with the jlt kit no problems but i dont think i needed it.
Tommorrow if i have the time i will install my php intake spacer. cant wait
Wanted to thank Jay Tucker for a nice CAI kit

Hey Hey,
I have a JLT too and I dig it! I love the fact that the aircleaner is servicable as well. That hood suckin in sound at WOT is worth every penny.
I wasnt aware of the pre filter you mentioned, whats that all about? where does it go?

After each install of a intake mod, JLT, PHP spacer, reset the computer for best results. Its a "learning" ECU so drive as hard as you are going to normally for it learn the new setup.

It's more of a popular mod for Mustang's. And yes I have a JLT, that was my first mod and I still love it.

Well i found some time today so i installed the PHP intake spacer and i love it. Works really good along with the JLT intake. Went for a ride and can feel a big difference. Instalation went well like everyone said the hardest part is the EGR valve , lifting it up in place but that wasent that bad so a good install.
Now i just need my x-cal2 with a tune from lido and i be all set for now untill i want to mess with my exhaust system.

Depends on your budget.....use the search option and you'll get loads of info on the gear swap and tune. My next mod will be the tune and possibly 4.10's next year.

what should I get next the 4.10 or tune!!!If you do 4.10s without a tune, your speedometer will read high and your shifts will be early.

I think what RF is recommending is to get the gears & tune AT THE SAME TIME. That's it, yeah that's the ticket.

I think what RF is recommending is to get the gears & tune AT THE SAME TIME. That would obviously be the ideal, but if budget doesn't permit, better to do the tune first, otherwise the car is not anywhere near as much fun to drive, even with the 4.10s.

I had a CAI, 4:10's, and a tune done at the same time, and loved the results. Seemed like a dropped off one car, and picked up a whole new one. IMHO, those three mods are the ones I'd recommend to anyone who wnats to wake the car up but not spend BIG $.
