I have still yet to see a picture of one on a silver birch. I did this mod (same part no.) on my 2001 Bullitt, but I want to see it on a SB before I do it. Supposedly, there are some SB's out there with it on there, but I haven't see one yet.

I saw a pic of one on a DTR, looks nice. My concern is will it be a snowplow in the winter? Marauderman, whats the ground clearance look like?

Doubt it will be a snow plow--however , having lived in a snow belt before , the front can catch some snow even with out it--so , probably to some degree, but I would not expect it to be a problem--really--the ground clearance-well its great--pulled up to a parking lot bumber the other day and it went over the top nicely--however, I am practicing to stop just back of them cause not all are squarely on the ground , which could catch if they were a bit higher.....
BTW-- We attached the front chin with plastic push gromets so that if the chin should ever get "caught" on something and RIP OFF--it wil not take the bummer or damage it--just pull out of the holes it was attached to ---a SAFETY FEATURE--
The under mesh is in three (3) pieces: the first is what you see in the pic. the front area--we tied to gether two more pieces and attached it further back to cover the additional opening which covers the area of the radiator and intercoller opening--work VERY well--maybe I should take another pic of showing this so all can see---will do it later and post it ---I haven't actually measured the clearance to the ground--but I will now that you asked--the main thng is to stay clear of known raised items when you see them when pulling into places regardless or stay just back from them.
OBTW-=- We also drilled holes in the OEM rubber cover that originally is for protecting the radiator hose horizonially and tied straps around it and thru the holes to tighten the hose up so it would not "hang" down as it was and seems to be on most MM's..

How does this effect the high speed handling? I put a small rear spoiler on my last car mainly for appearance. I really didn't think it would have any effect on the handling. It actually made the car feel less solid at high speed.

Above post is close, but not done with mirror. There is one thing that would give it away.
If you mean the shiny part, it is a tuner car grille insert trimmed to fit. Atached with glue and the front badge. Find at O'Reily auto parts by APC.

Yes i did it all by me self and one scissor jack. I used the two outter existing bolts too hold it in place and the jack in the middle. Two sided tape will stick to the bumper but not to the spoiler under its own weight.
About 15-20 min. once determined plan of attack.

Which one, the single one over the opening or the two piece that goes across the bottom under the car?

Go to Home Depot or Lowe's. Get 3 pieces of the galvanized gutter guard. One piece goes behind the lower grill opening, the other 2 go in the open area underneath. You'll see where.
Here's a pic.

Just an FYI, those two bolts on either side near the front need to go through an expanded hole in the mesh. Other wise it may slide left or right after a period of time.
Have not done the bottom one, so can't speak of it
fastblackmerc

To do the bottom mesh.
1. Remove the air deflector - 3 bolts & a push rivet
2. Install the mesh, I used small white zip ties to connect the 2 pieces together along the long edge.
3. After it's in position use self-tapping screws to secure the mesh to the plastic pieces that are parallel to the sides of the car (you'll see what I mean once you get under there). I used stainless steel screws and washers.
4. Replace the air dam
5. Pop a cold one and admire your work!

Some folks use gutter screens from Home Depot (or equivalent). Others get the pre-painted stuff from the ricer "race" parts warehouse.

Gutter Guard as Brian posted is at Lowe's for 6/7 bucks or so for 5 pieces. It gets dull after awhile and mine needs to be replaced for more Bling:D The fit is perfect and it does keep road debris from damaging the fins on the radiator. Takes 5 minutes to install including time to get the beer. Dennis
