Back in the MM Saddle Again

Well after 1,800 miles and 9 days away from the Marauder, I was able to slide back into the seat again this morning. It fits like a glove and that old grin came back almost immediately. :D

Don't get me wrong. The wife's '06 Freestyle Limited is a nice, comfortable, versatile, and enjoyable vehicle for long distance vacation travel (26.6 MPG regular 87); but it just doesn't give me that same feeling as sitting down in the MM.

When I showed up at the Carolina Marauders meet at SC Cheesehead's on Saturday without my MM, I felt naked and embarrassed. :o They were all nice about it and didn't rub it in. :)

When I wanted to take the wife's Passat on vacation to Garden City, SC the wife said NO, I want to go in the Marauder. Did alright, averaged 24.5mpg overall. The Passat gets 35, but still needs to use 91. She says the MM is much more comfortable and far cooler. Can't argue with that reasoning.

no you really cant. i took my mother for her first ride in a MM this morning bringing her to the airport. 3am no one out on the roads, wide open and only back roads... could it get better. she was well impressed with the ride and she does agree with the cool factor being there. although i do find it wierd, my brother has owned a marauder for 6 months and i have 3 and she had never even been inside one. hmm
