I saw this posted on Blue Oval News.com, they are inviting all Ford vehicles as well. Sounds interesting!

All Connecticut and New England Mustang enthusiasts are invited on our scenic cruise, which we have planned to be a relaxing and fun retreat on the Sunday afternoon of July 22nd. We will cruise our route through part of the Litchfield Hills, which reveal some of Connecticut's most beautiful scenery. Open, winding roads will let you have fun handling your Mustang! Bring your spouse and friends; our cruise will be family friendly and we will end it with a unique dining experience at Puerto Vallarta Mexican Restaurant in Avon, CT, which has been voted Best by the Advocate's Readers' Poll for several years.

We will be meeting at 1:00 PM at the Peak Fitness Plaza in East Granby Connecticut (just past the Bradley Airport runway, across from the Route 20/East Street intersection). You can reach Route 20 from 91 North or South; just take the exit for Bradley Airport and follow Route 20 to the Granby/East Granby exit (this will take you past the runway and towards our meeting location). Please email us at blueovalclub@aol.com if you plan to come, so we can get a head count for Puerto Vallarta. There will be a prize raffle and goodies for attendees.

For those that would like to meet earlier on and cruise to the meeting spot as a group, we will be meeting at UEP for 11:00 AM. At UEP we will be offering our fellow club members and cruise participants beverages and snacks prior to our departure (www.ueperformance.com for directions).

This sounds like half a plan. I haven't done anything fun all summer w/ the Marauder except clean/wax and bolt on some misc stuff I picked up over the winter. Pretty much sits in the garage (and makes me think about selling it).

Would the BOMC really want some panthers there? Guess we'd have to check. Looks like there is a potential of three of us right now...:burnout:

Shot an Email over to the host club...I'll let you know what they say in case anybody in NE is interested or around the area.

Checked posts regarding this over on a few other boards. Right now it looks like they have cars coming from CT, VT and MA...

At least the weather looks good...may have to go on my own ride if they won't let me play with them:cool:.

We're invited if anybody watching this post is interested and will be in CT tomorrow:D.

They've got Mustangs (and other fast Fords) coming in from MA/VT/NY and CT.

They seem to have a nice loop planned up in the north/central part of the state and the food at Puerto Vallarta is second to none.

PSG = PM sent...sorry so late...

hot-rauder = Sorry as well to catch this at such a late hour.

Here is the deal, one of two options:

Meet at UEP (Ultimate Edge Performance in South Windsor)
240 Chapel Road, South Windsor CT 06074

This would be if you can make an 11:00 AM time to meet.

This is looking like a "hosted" meet before the drive over to East Granby for the official kick-off (beverages & snacks provided by UEP).

Or, the actual meeting spot is set for Sunday, 7/22 @ 1:00 PM, location:

We will be meeting at 1:00 PM at the Peak Fitness Plaza in East Granby Connecticut (just past the Bradley Airport runway, across from the Route 20/East Street intersection). I think they would appreciate an Email regarding headcount if you plan to go.

I'm a lock for the 1:00 PM location in East Granby.

Invitation was wide open and they'd love to see some Panther's!

Jonathan

PS: I don't know this club or individuals from anything other than a couple Emails back/forth, and reviewing their posts/activities at a few other forums. Looks like a good bunch though, and about the best organized thing I think I've seen in a while.

Thanks to PhastPhil for the post !

Went out with the Blue Oval Mustang Club. Very nice group and a WELL organized cruise (snacks, goodie bags for attendees, a raffle, just an all-around well thought out event) up in northern CT in the Hartland/Barkhamsted/New Hartford area around the big reservoir.

Finished up with a meal at Puerto Vallarta.

There were roughly 10 of us and Ultravorx made the run in his Marauder too. Got a call from PSG...see you next time hopefully...the BOMC is planning another such cruise in the month of August.

Got a few pic's:

Lined up at the meeting point:

Taking a break mid-cruise at Saville Dam:

Meeting at the restaurant in Avon, had a great meal and a raffle:

It was real nice running with these guys. No attitudes and just one big Ford love-fest. Looking forward to hanging with them again. For those who missed this one, I'll keep an ear open for any future runs that are open for us to attend and pass along the word.

Wow, sounds like it was a great time. Sorry I couldn't make it. Maybe next time for me too.
I'm really glad this turned out to be a good day for you! The best part is, it opened new doors for us as a group.

Jonathan,

We missed you guys at the August cruise!

We have another cruise planned for sun 9/23 going down to Hammonasset.

http://www.allfordmustangs.com/forums/new-england/88291-hammon-asset-beach-mustang-cruise.html

Your cars were definitely bad-ass!

There's a photo out there with you and Ultravorx following Steve in his black GT. Looked like you guys were getting ready to pull him over!!

Hope you and some of your buddies can make this one.

SOHC

PS: I'm also doing the New England Rally "Fall Run" cruise
http://www.newenglandrally.com/fallrun.html (http://www.newenglandrally.com/fallrun.html)

You don't need to stay over at the hotel, but you guys going a long distance might want to.

I've got 2 stang members from the BOMC cruising this with me already.

Please feel free to join in. You northern MA & VT drivers Email me if you want to meet in Brattleboro VT at 8am for the ride over to Derry NH.

SOHC,

Welcome to the site! Thanks for coming by and checking on us. Sorry about the August cruise...I was moving that weekend (long story)...plus you guys ('stangs) have so many forums I can barely keep track!

BTW: some of the links you've posted here and in the other two threads in the New England forum are unreadable unless one already has a login for the particular forum your link is pointing to....but anyone interested can get the general info from what you've posted here...

I'm SOL on the 23rd....got a travel day scheduled for work in Chicago that week. But a ride down to Hammo and a meal at the 'Chowder pot sounds like a good idea!

Thanks for the pic's, speaking for myself I had fun (I think you could tell by my posts).

Whole bunch of info about the New England Rally (and the "Fall Run") via your other link. New England members here at mm.net ought to read up on this like I plan to. Whole other car culture runnin' around up north (of me, anyway) I wasn't even aware of! Thanks for broadening my horizons!

I'm sure we'll run into each other soon enough. Thanks again for stopping by!

Jonathan,

Too bad about the 23rd... I was thinking about having Erik run one of your Mercs up front and one in the back!

Ya know, "police escort", kinda thing...

Wonder if we could get away with it?

As for the NER cruise on 10/27, you CT guys might want to stay overnight at the hotel... I only live about 90 mins away.

Looks like we already have 2 guys from MA joining us as definites. One even joined the NER forum.

Hope you guys stay in touch.

I'll check on the links...
