Alright I guess I made my decision as to what to buy and probably the last thing I can afford for the car this year. What was that torque converter that is purple? Is this the most common one? Is there any advantage of one over another? What companies???
Basically where do I find one.... can I find one that is meant for a Mustang?

Purple People Eater

Go with a PI. Just about anyone with a upgraded TC in a Marauder is running the stallion.
You just have to decide between a 3000 or a 3500 stall

For a Mustang go with a 2800 PI single disk give us a call if we can help

DR....he has a Marauder.... with a FIT.
He was asking if a TC for a Mustang would work.

It will if it came out of a 4R70W but I would send it back to PI and have it checked and up the stall to 3000/3500

To all that are asking me questions:
You up the stall speed to 3000 or 3500 when you are NA or using a centrifugal blower to match the torque curve better.
With an Eaton style set up you can lower the stall because of more torque at lower speeds.
When I had a Vortech set up I used a 3000 PI with 3 plates, then with the Cobra motor I had a 2700 PI with 3 plates, now I have a 2500 PI with 4 plates because I had Dennis tune the car with 14.5 lbs of boost all in at 2000rpm and I'm up to 460rwt 400rwhp now after installing Weapon X COP's and going back to stock mufflers to up the back pressure on the Eaton. I had Dennis put in 3:27 rear gears because I have the torque to pull this set up, I can smoke'em or roll on real quiet and beat a Shelby 500.
The 2700 PI is a 3 plate and is the one I have for sale. Tom;)
All those plates slow the car down.
There is nothing wrong with a single plate.
