Aftermarket moonroof and short overhead console

I was thinking about installing an aftermarket moonroof. However, my ride has the long overhead console. What's the difference between the long overhead console and the shorterone? Has anyone done this modification?? Pictures? Recommendations??

Difference other than the length is the sunglass holder.

You can go with just a pop up glass (cheaper), the power sunroof (metal panel) or the moon roof (glass panel). You can replace the overhead console with an '04 one.

Don't need the whole console, just the display.

Oh, I didn't know you could just swap displays. I wonder where I could get one from though. Most likely probably a wrecked MM.

From what I understand, the Marauders with OE sunroofs, like mine, use Lincoln Town Car overhead consoles.

How much does a good aftermarket moonroof install run? Anyone know? Not something I'll be doing anytime soon, but that's one of the things that I really wanted that I didn't get. (Buying used and on a limited timeframe it's not like I really had the choice...) I'd love to have that done when funds allow.

Does the compass say "W" or "West?" If it says West, it's an '04, if not it's an '03.

If you read my sig below for my wife's 03 Blue MM, you will see the exact ASC model number you need for your MM. The upholstry shop here in Rockville MD did a great job of shortening the overhead console and installing a top-notch sun roof. It ran me about $1100. It is actually nicer than the "Installed at the factory after being built" on my 04 DTR.

My 04 has the console on the right and says W, not "west". But is not boxy and cut off at the end like that one on the right is, just the button layout is the same.

Mine was a dealer install.... no flaws at all...you will not lose head room

Use it whenever I can...which were I live is about 2 months out of the year
