Here is a immaculate 1998 Mark 8 we finished for a very good customer, he was patient knew what he wanted and ordered it, some of the work he did and then sent the car to here for us to finish and get a good basic tune on the car. The car is lowered 1998 Mark 8 black on black, we installed a Vortech S Trim with a custom water to air heat exchanger and is making about 12 PSI. The car has 410 gears Dyno tech drive shaft Art Car transmission a PI 3500 triple disk, Addco rear sway bar, Cobra Brakes and custom wheels, the car has LTH and the exhaust was done in Atlanta, it has twin Walbro fuel pumps with a dash 8 line for feed and a dash six for return through our custom built fuel rails with 55 pound injectors we used a 80 MM LM for clearance issues along with a Mafia Maf extender, the car made right at 400 RWHP and yes this is the stock motor with a 150K on the clock, and the owner is aware of this and is having a custom motor built that we are helping with, this should be a low 11 second car after a new motor and a JT trim.

I have always admired them. I considered buying an LSC.

First class job Dennis, on a 10 year old car.

I am curious as to why the Marauder engines develop more power. Is it the cams?

Oh man, that's beautiful. I love it! My previous car before the Marauder was a 1996 VIII (hence my screenname here), and forced induction was in my long-term plans, but the car was unfortunately totaled before I could do much to it. I miss that car sometimes...damn nice work on that LSC!

How long did it take to complete that setup?

That car is WAY meaner and more intimidating looking in person!!!!

Glad you finally got it done, D. Looks GREAT!

Looks awesome! Nice results too!

on Pic 5, is the red cylinder at the fuel rail a filter?
on pic 6, what is the box with the red cap at driver's side front?

What is "water to air heat exchanger"?

Looks very similar to this (http://www.mercurymarauder.net/forums/showthread.php?t=20474) previous setup you did a while back.

The red cap black box is the reservoir tank for the water for the water-air intercooler.

I see an aluminum "radiator" in front of the OEM one. This is for the cooler right? Does the "tank" have it's own pump to circulate? Is this a coolant mix the same as in the engine's radiator? I feel so dumb with these questions. This is the first that I looked at a power adder in such detail.

Not to sound like a picky, but it looks like the owner needs to change the brake fluid. Seems to be very dark in the pics.

Tom there are no dumb questions on this site, this is a water to air unit it has a 2.5 gallon reservoir shown in the pictures where the OEM battery was, water is sucked from the reservoir by a external 12V pump, then pushed through the aluminum heat exchanger in front of the radiator, this water is cooled down by the air passing through it, that water is circulated through the after cooler mounted next to the super charger, the heated air is blown through the after cooler where the watter absorbs that heat from the compressed air from the super charger dropping the boosted air temperature entering the the intake, the water of course is heated up but is dumped into the reservoir and recirculated, but chilled down again, the beauty of the large reservoir is you can add ice at the track.

Dennis--Thanks for the great description! That does sound cool!
You mentioned water as in H2O--Does it require any additives?
