Anyone know anything about diagnostic scanners, check engine light went on. I want to get a scanner so I dont get bent over buy the dealer.

You shold have a couple local members who can plug in their SCT and get your code (and clear it)

Go to AutoZone or Advanced.
They will read OBDII Codes for FREE!
Or..... just buy a Tune from a Vendor here, and get an XCal2 that can read codes! Win - Win!

FWIW, I saw Wally World is carrying them now. No idea how good they are.

Yeah, it seems like it would be nice to have real time data right on the dashboard. Anybody have any experience with these or similar?

I have the Scan Gauge 1 it is well worth the money. The II has a bit more cosmetic appeal and a smaller foot print.
