To all of in need of alignment, I have some useful info to give you. Thanks to Bob Mathis for giving me the number to his dealer who is capable of aligning the Marauder. I spoke with Jeff at Mitchell L-M in Enterprise Alabama who referred me to his Sales Rep at Hunter. Below is the e-mail from this gentleman in response to my alignment questions.
Zack,
Thanks for the email and again I regret your frustration. It is indeed surprising that the dealerships in the Chicago area are seemingly unable to align your 18 "wheels. I have talked to our Hunter Tech that covers the Enterprise, Al. area and the Mitchell Lincoln/Mercury dealership in particular. He sold them a set of "Adapter-Wheel Adapter Extensions" part No. 20-1097-1. This part which can only be used on self-centering adapters, extend the maximum wheel diameter on the aligner sensors by 21/2". This part costing no more than $150.00 is available from the Hunter tech or Rotunda.
It cannot be used on aligners that have the "red"sensors" sold over 10 years ago. We also make a "spade sleeve kit" part N0. 20-1522-1 two sets are required (cost less than $100.) These are made for Rim Guard Tires and most dealerships already have them. I believe that a Ford dealership will be grateful for your giving them this info.
Good Luck!
Richard
Print this and take it to your dealer!!! They now have the part numbers, so no more excuses.
