Has anyone replaced either or both of these?
Did you go up in size with the sub?
I'm checking out subwolfer and amp replacements that are compatible with existing radio and cd changer. Might go with two new amps - one for speakers, additional one for sub. Curious to know if anyone else has done this yet.
Matt,
Type "subwoofer" in the "Search Box" at the top left of this page. There are SEVERAL threads that will give you all the info you need. Also, check out the detail pics in the "Photo Gallery".

Hello Matt,
I completely upgraded my stereo a few weeks ago. The difference is night and day.
Here is what I did....

Basically I replaced the Factory Sub with the Kenwood listed in the post. It is the same size and required no modifications to the compartment. I also replaced the 4 cabin speakers and added a seperate amp for them. The factory amp for the sub is more than sufficent for the new Kenwood sub. The sound is great and didnt break the bank.

Matt,
Look for pics starting with MM-
I replaced the sub with a 10" Licker sub in a custom box driven by a 150 watt amp.

Before mine went home, I'd replaced all four speakers, installed a 5 channel Alpine and dropped a 12' Sony Explode ES sub in the rear. All were parts that I had previously installed in my '97 SHO. The SHO had a digital dash, no aftermarket head unit could be installed, so that's my next project. This is turning out to be a LOT harder than I thought it would have been. I want a deck that looks stealthy. NO LCD PORPOISES OR FLYING SATELLITES!!! I do not want my cockpit looking like I'm watching TV when I'm driving at night ;)
