Using this weekend to get the car all prepped for Marauderville V (MV5). Spent part of the day yesterday doing the engine compartment and giving her the clay bar treatment again. Was up early this morning to give it a good coat of NXT Tech Wax. If all goes well, I'll just have to ICE her down a little this week. How's she look??

I can't even remember what I USED to do on weekends before I got this car!!

Just wait until the little bastages, next door, bounce their basketball off 'ol blue's hood.

BTW, any truth to the rumor that there will be another last minute Blue 'rauder showing up from the Chicago area, bringing Becky along. :D

Well, there's going to be at least one more BLUE coming up from the Carolinas.

Enroute as I send this, by way of the daughter and son-in-law in Wilmington, NC.

Very nice. I just hope theres a hose at the hotel to clean the bugs off. Between NY and PA I'll be splattered.

My prep this weekend was changing the oil with RP, Replaced my foglamp bulb that burned out with Silverstar's, 2 brand new Nitto 420S for the rears, pulled the rims off and cleaned the insides, touched up my brake calipers, gave the engine a good cleaning top and bottom, vacuumed the interior, conditioned the leather, armoralled the interior, and after all that I was only able to wash the car instead of wax due to rain. Hopefully tuesday night Ill feel up to getting busy putting a heavy paste wax on.

Due to our unseasonal weather conditions here, I plan on driving through a few big puddles on the way up, that will wash the car, then slow down for a rinse by a passing T-storm, after which I'll speed up to blow dry the car.

All I'll have to do at the hotel is put a little Ice on Silverback for the show.

I'll bring along a section of hose and my "master" key for the spigot. :D
Oh wait, I gotta go buy another hose .... I left the last one under my car at the Jacksonville VFD carshow and drove off and left it.

They haven't used that basketball net in YEARS. Kids don't play outside anymore ... they play video games. Besides, they know me and MY CAR and that their days are numbered if there's ANY damage to the :geezer: old coot's MM.

Good plan, Pat. 85+ MPH usually produces the best, no-streak, no-waterspot results. ;)

It's Monday Noon and it's raining cats and dogs. My Au Natural idea may have some validity.

Prepping my car......fat chance, water is up to the rims. Power has been out and storms are still thundering. Fastening a dingy on the trunk now.

I've been trying to contact my friend James79stang coming up this afternoon from San Angelo thru the DFW area then on to mi casa in Bossier City. No luck, he may be "lost at sea" heaven forbid.
