Tranny case cracked...

Hello all,

Well, I brought in my Marauder for it shifting funny and I just heard back from the dealership. The transmission case is cracked. They've ordered a new case and will be rebuilding the tranny. The car is still under warranty so I'm guessing they're using all Ford parts. Should I make them aware of anything while the thing's apart? I remember reading about a stronger "spiral clip" and extra clutches in previous searches. Does anybody have a part # for the Art Carr rebuild kit? Maybe I can get them to use that instead?

You could get the Art Carr kit with the clip and stub shaft from DR, but they won't do it under warranty.

If they will, for some reason, call DR for the kit!
