Alright first off I have no intention of putting nitrous on right now nor will I for probably a year or so. I just want to know the required parts/prep before I make such a mod. Now I was thinking probably somewhere in the 80 shot range and I heard that these cars handle 150 shot on s stock engine no problem, but I do not believe it. On top of already being blown I'm assuming that I would have to do some mods as suppose to putting nitrous on a car that didn't already have forced induction.

Your thoughts please.

In order to SAFELY run > 450RWHP you need a built (forged) bottom end.

After reading all the posts here over the past three years, I concurr with killjoy. You can prebuild the engine -or- wait till it tosses its cookies, unless it throws a rod through the block.

i agree with killjoy, the maurader\mach 1 engines have a higher ratio, to be pushin boost, and then nitrous on top of it............... +1 with killjoy....................... ....................thats y im gunna put the cobra engine in mine one day : )

If I were you, I'd start off with a smaller shot and see what it does for you. A guy at work blew his engine ('04 KB Cobra) granted it was a Cobra and can handle more, but still better safe than sorry, and I believe he used an 80 shot.

Thats why I am asking now. I'm not about to start trying this and that before I know the info first. I don't wanna ruin an engine or as some of you would say another engine.

True or False - You replaced the engine once in your Marauder.

Don't spray a stock engine with a blower. You gotta have a built bottom end.

Not only that but you need to get the car tuned properly for nitrous. Even forged don't just slap it on and assume everything is OK get it setup right, nitrous can be a great thing but many people have problems with it becuase they don't take the right precautions or set it up / tune for it correctly.

A 50 shot is "pretty safe" with a blown application with a good tune. It acts as an intercooler...but I wouldn't go any higher than that as I agree with everyone else. You will need a forged motor.
