Just got done installing the sway bar and I feel the need to share some info. Now please dont take my advice as the gospel but I feel this will be of benefit. When installing the big rubber bushings AROUND the sway bar (1 on each side, total of 2) It is a good idea to coat the inside of these bushing with a silicone based lubricant. The bushings supplied are much harder then I ever would have expected them to be, which translates into a shorter life span. Most companies that sell suspension kits these days offer greasable bushings for long life. Which proves that lubricating the bushings is a good idea. Anyway, good looking sway bar. Took 20 minutes to remove and install the new one.

Zack:

I was under the impression that these were urethane bushings and were SUPPOSED to be hard...I used a marine grease on mine, as recommended on the Addco website...

You are right. I guess my point is... Im sick and tired of these companies half azzing on their instruction sheets. If I had a dollar for every time I had to take something off because the mother fuzzers penny pinched on the labor cost of their typist, Id have more than 1 Marauder, but I dont. Ive become wise with products and their shortcomings over the years. Carry on, happy sway barring.

And to the average Joe Shmo, he wont grease them and he will have a shortened bushing life and be pizzed off. Now Im done.

You're right, they were pretty lame instructions...and about Joe Schmo not realising to grease them at all... :shake:

Are you saying I spelled Shmo wrong? Again you're right!

Argh! I want to install my bar but I don't dare until I make one more attempt at getting my rear suspension popping noise fixed by the dealer.

Every night I come home from work and see my bar sitting there asking me to install it. *sigh*

The Addco sway bars on my car came with polyurethane bushings but I opted for Energy Suspension Polyurethane bushings with the grease fitting. So every time the oil gets changed, the bushings get greased. :D

Around here, you can get them at Pep Boys, and Murray's, it seems a fairly common item. I haven't done a side by side eyeball on them, so, I have to ask if they are Addco quality, and the right size for the bar we're getting from Dennis. It's pretty thick, and the diameters may be off. Best to eyeball them yourself, eh?
