I'm looking at adding a cold air intake and an exhaust upgrade. I know K&N makes one specifically for the marauder and everyones telling me Flowmaster 40's for exhaust. Looking for a few extra horses and some rumble. Any suggestions?

Adding one here for JLT, when you ROMP on it, your hood will sound like it's being sucked in...........wicked man, just plain wicked. Check forums / vendors for JLT.

Does anybody have any numbers for hp increese between the two? The JLT has the better price, but K&N says it gives up to 17hp, I was unable to find any actually dino tested numbers to compare them though...

JLT FTW! Get some Delta 40's/50's or some guys like the Magnaflow's too. I'd also get a set of res. delete tips from Wes (Innovative Interceptors) to take full advantage of the sound. You'll thank me.

If you're looking for a few extra horses, go with a tune from one of the vendors, will get you more than a CAI.

+2 on the res-delete tips from Wes, that will give you a nice sound at a reasonable price.

I got a custom exhaust from a guy in Marrietta Ga that has done at least 25-30 Marauders...he did mine...SWEET! I did the magnaflow mufflerrs and the magnaflow high flow cats and a custom X-pipe for better exhaust scavenging effect. His Co. is called Grand Muffler. His name is Todd(forget the last name) PM me if you're interested and I'll get you his contact info and stuff!

I find that tune, CAI and mufflers work together well to really wake up the car. Relatively inexpensive if you do them (the mods) one at a time.

Dude,
JLT from Innovative Interceptors.
Magnaflow 14's
Tune from Reinhart (tell him the mods)
Hanky (for the drooling after perma-grin)
2nd job (you'll catch the mod bug)
Enjoy!!!

Personally, I think the K&N looks better than the JLT. Price wasn't much of an issue for me. I did dyno pulls with just a K&N. It added an average of between 7-10 rwhp on a dyno. I also have the Flowmaster 40 mufflers with delete tips. Great change in exhaust note.

My experience has been: JLT slight advantage in power, over K&N (very slight) probably due to the larger opening & tube. Had a minor rubbing issue, with the headliner on the JLT. K&N is a little nicer, looking system. I have not heard any clearance issues, with the K&N.

Search for thread 'Progress Report' by me. I explain why the difference in power figures between the two. K&N looks factory. I got it for my car because it looks so much better. They all make the same power.

Can't say anything about exhaust mods yet. Like you, I'm dying for more note and power. But, haven't tested any yet. Full tube headers add a TON of low-mid range HP and Torque, making car way more driveable. But they are wicked on the pocketbook. I personally doubt that there is more than 2-3 HP in the mufflers.

I have three 'Progress Report' where I bring my car from 15.45 to 14.84 in the 1/4 using 3 mods, two easy, one difficult.

i have a K&N on the Vic with 50 series and Magnaflow cats. The K&N fit great and it definately helped. Id say it's a toss up for intakes. If you didn't mind spending a little extra, id say get Bassani mufflers. The sound absolutely amazing on 4V engines. And definately get the res.delete tips

In my opinion this is the best kit made, and best looking. Shown with the optional Metco carbon fiber inlet tube.
