Morning All,

Was out cruzin last night when I put a new CD in and noticed that when there was a lot of bass in a particular song that it appeared either the package tray was rattling or the speakers or subwoofer. Had to turn the bass more that 2/3rds off to keep it whatever "IT " is from rattling.

Wondering if any of you have had that problem and if so what the correction is.

Thanks,
Mike

PS: Smoked :flamer: a 280Z last night that was ready to try
on a old man in a big black car. He quickly became just a
glimpse in my rear view when by manually shifting I barked
into second gear. Man, what a ride!

Mike.....yes just about everyone has had this problem with the package shelf rattling. You can fight it two ways. One you can tell dealer about it and hope he knows what to do about it or two you can install some dynamat under the package shelf to keep it from vibrating. I ended up putting some styrofoam under mine and it helped. Do a search under sub woofer. There are tons of complaints about this one and detailed ways to fix it. Good luck with it. Let us know if you need more help.

Always try the "FAQ" under "Main Menu" left column, for answers to lots of questions.

I have seen certian CDs cause problems you discribed, in certian vehicles. But I would dampen the car anyway. sound dampening goes a long way to helping a system. even stock.
