Tuesday morning got a call from the people I sold the MM to, said they needed college funds and wanted to know if I wanted MY car back, after several days of emails I am going to pick up car on Sunday...This is almost 3 years after I sold the car. This is Logans first MM. 03 300A with stage 1 Mods. Have wanted the back since the day I sold it... KARMA HAPPENS

Logan already has another one (did you get the smoke smell out of it Logan?), but I'd think he'd have liked to have his original if he had the chance.

Cool!

My desire to have things back depends entirely on the condition of said memory... :)

I know number two is in great hands and one day I'll convince John to sell it back to me... I haven't seen Number 1 since CRC drove off in it! :)

Is it still in lovely condition CRC?

Was it number 2 that had the blue tinted clear coat?

Logan

Yeah, number 2 had the blue clearcoat and was my supercharged car. John, (Buckwheat) has it up in Missouri...

#1 was only ever lightly modified. If memory serves, custom exhaust (no headers), chip, CAI, real guages and a few other doo-dads here and there...

But it was a very early car, first week June '02 build date. Quality on the build was superb...

Yea still looks great drives great and only 44000 miles to boot. I sold it in Oct. 04 with 22000 miles. the buyers used it as a toy so the care it has recieved has been great...And Logan you did see it once at Ennis for MV I. Will be car#4 for us so I think I can keep it in good condition!! Couln't pass it up when the opportunity to re-purchase it came along.

didn't you say that after you bought the second one? :D

Logan

Yeah, I did. I'm an idiot.

I did have fun today though.... I spent 3 hours de-crapifying the marauder I bought recently... It's lucky it's a rare bird, otherwise I'd be tossing it on Autotrader... yeesh.

Remind me never to buy a northern marauder without actually inspecting it in person first... Winter and salt really SUCK... Ugh.

I disassembled the interior today, yanked the carpet and tossed it, yanked the console and tossed it (Cigarette burns), scrubbed the piss out of the seats, febreezed the entire interior, cleaned up underneath the carpet of all dust, dog hair, etc, laid down Dynamat on the entire floor, put a replacement carpet in from Brian (Fordnut), cleaned the underside of all the seats, cleaned the A/C venting under the dash and console, febreezed that, installed a new console (Again, thanks to Fordnut), polished, re-installed all the seats and misc. shate, then scrubbed all the leather in the car with Zaino Leather care...

Finally, the damn thing doesn't smell like a chimney and actually looks up to my standards...

..well... except for the drivers seat, which has a burn hole in it, but that'll be short lived with some new leather on the way...

...and the masterful Z, delivered a badgeless grill today too... Things are lookin' up. It's almost even road-worthy... :)

This is what I get for paying $14k for a Marauder... :bandit:

... did I mention this POS was owned by a Indiana State trooper who outfitted the damn thing with lights, siren, laptop/siren mounts, etc? ****ing drill holes everywhere... Hell, I won't even mention the piss poor installation of a new front bumper cover post-front-right collision...

Sigh... Good thing some of the vendors still remember my punk ass or I'd be spending way too much on this thing...

I also got back the OE parts(drivehaft, airbox, plugs, t-stat etc...) But I need a stock radio the owners put in a $75 Kenwood.

Well Logan, think of it as a "bonding" exercise with this new Marauder.
Also you probably be will be more enthusiastic modding it

Say, do you need a siren for it to fill some of those holes? :D

They can't find the stock one I suppose

CRC

No, stock radio is MIA. I think the only reason they kept all the other OE stuff was because I had it...Logan gave it to me when I bought the car. Stuff like that is like an owners manual, it stays with the car always. just my .02

They found the stock radio!!!!! Car was absolutly foul when it was delivered to me and I have spent the last 4 days cleaning and polishing it to my standards. will post pix soon. Also has the brake pedal pulse. Bought new slotted and drilled rotors and Ceramic pads from NAPA for the front and rear, but need to paint the calipers when I do the brakes. Any advice on caliper paint? Will post pix of brakes when complete also. I also found a tire shop locally that has two rear tires in stock ( Bought them to store for now)

Oh my! That sounds like a ton of work to save a few thousand. I hope you are replacing the headliner, that is what will never smell right if not.

Very good to see you back again. My Marauder is kinda of a garage queen that comes out for road trips and evenings only. I've got about 32,000 miles now, and every time I drive this car I appreciate as much as the first time. Some may say old school I say YEP! IT MAY BE!

Glad they found the radio for you.

Were they smokers? Logan has experience with cleaning that up now too.

Nope non smokers and they took pretty good car of her....Just not quite clean enough for my taste. They did only use Zaino on the car, but were a little heavy handed with it, got wax in all the nooks and crannys and around all the trim and door handles(that is driving me nuts)I think he applied it like Turtle Wax, on the upside the inside is just like the day I sold it. They even bought rubber mats and stored the factory mats in the trunk so they are like new.

Finally took picks of the car. I put the slotted and drilled rotors and Ceramic pads on Saturday , but ran out of time and did not get the calipers painted. I guess I still have a project for next weekend. Brake pedal pulsation is gone and brakes feel GREAT. Oh yea, Zaino is a wonderful thing on Black Cars.
