I had to get back home to check on my dog, so I elected not to tour Luray Caverns. I did however cruise down Skyline Dr, breaking off at Rt 211 a few miles from Luray. Had a great time, it was warm but things cooled off after the short stint of rain and we were rewarded with some sun too.

This pic can't do justice to the convoy of Marauders we had, we couldn't all fit at this overlook in a line so there's a number of MM's off the pic:

I hope the rest enjoy Luray and the drive back. The drive back on 211 was even more fun, the curves were tighter and the speed limit 10mph more, go figure! :burnout:

I kinda like this pic, Mike. :D Was kinda hazy due to the heat and humidity ... that's why early fall is a good time to take the cruise along Skyline Drive. Very clear and lots of fall color.

A nice Graduated Neutral Density filter corrects those hazy day pics.;)

I'm growing out of my Canon S3 quickly, I'm starting to ponder moving up to dSLR...

...That being said word on the street is that Canon has an SLR lens adapter for the S3 digicam, so I could start venturing into dSLR by getting a few lenses first and using them on the S3 body, get me in their gradually starting with lenses.
