Just thought I'd represent. Count one more GTO and Vette smoked. At the same time, three separate times, with myself & a friend in the car, all while having detailing equipment in the trunk none-the-less.

So, you beat a couple cars that have close to the same HP you do yet weigh between 500-1000 lbs less. Not calling BS but something doesn't add up.

WTH are you talking about??? A 5.7 GTO runs mid/low 13's w/ a Tune. I have a video of me running one at Norwalk.

It does not take much for a boosted MM to take a near stock GTO.

A stock 'vette w/ a bad driver (depending the car's year) is not much of a challange either.....

Where is the confusion?
LS2 GTO's routinely put down 360rwhp, C6's are about the same. GTO's weigh in around 3700, C6's 3000-3200 depending on options.
LS1 GTO's are more than capable of mid 13's stock, low 13's with any kind of mods to the car and a driver that knows what they're doing.
There are MANY LS2's in the 12's completely stock.
LS1 vettes are high 12 cars stock in the hands of someone capable(a rarity).
It's uncommon to come across a stock LSx anything around here and they are just a cam/exhaust swap away from 400-450rwhp.
Regardless, I'm not going to argue the point, it was JUST a statement. Some of you folks over here are too quick to get your panties in a wad.

If comparing a stock GTO and a Lidio tuned blown MM, I'd put my money on the Mercury every time. There are a lot of N/A MMs on this board that could go neck and neck with a GTO, forget about blown.:P

Do I own what, a Marauder? Sure, I've had my 03 going on 2 years, not much done to it, just tint/tune/drop and soon some 4.10's. I've been a member nearly all that time and done a lot of lurking.
I also have an LS2 GTO that has a mild(by LSx standards) cam and some other mods that I would put against most any n/a MM. Worst case it gets beat, I'll just go home and get something faster.:cool4:
Don't get me wrong, I'm not dogging the guy's car at all, I'm sure it runs strong...but to post up saying it walked 2 cars with apparent ease, cars which should have done just the opposite being lighter and similar in power on tap just made me raise an eyebrow...
Also, don't take the posts as me ripping on MM's, love mine and have extensive plans for it once I replace it as a d/d with hopefully another one!

I have no trouble believing that a S/C Marauder will beat a GTO or a Vette, I have beaten both at the track and I only have 375 ft lbs of torque, I could not find video of the Vette...but I found a GTO "kill":D Despite my bad driving, it's no contest at the end.

So you found someone that ran a 13.68 @ 102 in an LS2 GTO. Do I need to go hunting for 15 second Marauder videos to prove a point that some people just can't drive? I imagine there are PLENTY of them around.
Again, to further the point, IMO it is way cool that you can get a 2 ton sled to run with those cars. Nothing makes me smile more than watching vids on youtube of MM's with trilogy kits just melting the tires.
Apples to apples comparison, stick a maggie on a goat and you're well into the 11's, high 10's if you do some supporting mods.
That's it, I'm out on this one. Not going to push against the tide any further

I have run (AND OUT PULLED) with ZO6's with a mere 80 shot and my stock pos 4.6

Point is, we need the boost, to overcome the severe weight disadvantage...period. Of course with my gearing and setup they say bye bye at 146...but who is racing to China anyway?
