Ive been trying to race one of these since i got my car, and saturday night on rt 50 going into DC, i finally caught one. it was a burgundy with some exhaust work, dont know of other mods. but we were riding close to each other for a few seconds when i noticed him, thats all i needed, i pulled up next to him at about 65 to 70mph and rolled the window down, he looked at me and i gave him the signal to go, we both punched it, i could hear his engine power up to go and thats the last i saw him until we reached the DC line and a light, i smoked him by about 3 to 4 car lengths! he gave me the thumbs up and we went our ways...well just wanted to share..;)

That had to feel good, not much question about the Marauders long legs, from highway speeds. Off the line, the Marauder gives up a little torque, to the Chevy. Proves you done good, with the mods you chose. Nice!

Good job! Got to hand it to your competition for respect, unlike other idiots out there.

Well, did you prove your point, are you done now? Or, do you want to go for one more? I'll be at Capital Dragway in 3 weeks.

Stock engine, NA! Run whatcha brung.

Thats probably the main reason I want a Marauder, so many chevy caprices and impalas in my neighborhood (about 9 total). Can't wait till I pull up in that MERCURY. But i'll race on the track only no tickets in my Marauder. Least I hope so.

You need to come to SSHS7 in Commerce, Georgia (Atlanta Dragway) on November 3rd. You can race all the Chevy Impala's you want there. And there will be some VERY FAST ONES there.:D

if i can make it, i might take you up on that. ive been wantin to go to capitals for a minute, that might be the best time. i dont think im ready for the REAL FAST ONES yet... i know what my car can do and i know the impala is no slouch, i still got some mods to do yet.

Did you notice a difference once you had the 2nd set of cats removed?

i couldnt tell you for sure because i changed the mufflers and gears all at once, but i can tell you after all that i BARELY noticed a difference so i would say NO. im going to move to 4.10s soon though....

Weird, I noticed a difference right away in tone of exhaust ( I had mufflers on already) and mid to high end range power. On the way home from my friend's shop that cut them off I had some fun with a Yamaha R6 bike, I had raced my friends before and he pulled away after 100mph but after the 2nd set of cats were off I was able to keep up with the R6 enough to get a thumbs up from the rider.
