pretty cool, I'd like to see underhood pictures. It sticks out much higher than MadMaxs' engine.

Thats the guy who tried to put a twin turbo on his cvpi and both turbo's blew out. They were sts style, under the car. I guess he gave up on that project.
I forget which forum he's on

He's on CVN. He's had that setup for a while now, but he's been "tweaking" it a lot to perfect it. Yea, his car is nuts. Must be nice to have time and a bit of money.

Quickcrownvic is his username on CVN (crownvic.net).
Yes, he had twin turbo STS style only he made the kit himself. He was having problems because the charge pipes on the turbos didn't have a proper way to clamp to the turbo as there were no lips on the turbo to help the coupling. They kept blowing off, the car lost power... it happened a few too many times and eventually the turbos got burned up from overspinning themselves and not being able to self-lubricate.
He ditched that project as it was going to be a bit of work and he got a great deal on a lightning motor. I still think this method is better. Who cares if it sticks out... it's just plain sick no matter how ya look at it.

Sal's engine doesn't sit lower. He has a Whipple blower on top, which is a lot shorter in height.
After the problems with the turbos, I just decided that was not what I wanted for this car. I was going to do a supercharged DOHC 5.4, but while searching for the right engine, I found the Lightning engine and grabbed it. Now, I wouldn't have it any other way. Right down to the fuzzy dice, it's perfect.

I think the only thing you need to do is give it a kick *** paint job, then call it done!

Mabey a nice raised cowl before the paint. One of the members here found a fiberglass cowl induction that should look pretty stock. Then you could open up the hole in the hood for a little better underhood look. BTW what did you do with the STS kit? Is it rebuildable? For sale?
