2005 BMW K1200S. Yellow, Black, and Silver. 6900 miles. Never dropped, wrecked, scratched, or otherwise damaged. Serviced by BMW dealer only. Always stored in garage.

This bike comes from the factory with almost 170 horspower. I have added another 20+ with the full race exhaust and race airfilter kit. As well as tons of other goodies. I used to have a Big Dog Chopper and I get more people asking questions and more head turning with this bike than I did with the chopper. If you have never heard a Akrapovic Evo exhaust ($1500 exhaust system), it sounds amazing!!!! It is their full race header and hexagonal titanium can.

It is a large frame motorcycle so if you are taller or a bigger guy, this will be the first bike you have ever felt comfortable on. That is the reason I got it. I am 6'6" and over 260. Nothing else fit but this fits like a glove. I have some friends who are much shorter than me and they can fit on it as well. The ergonomics and the way the tank knee cutouts are arranged allow a much taller person to ride it comfortably.

It also has alot of creature comforts that only the Germans could put on a sportbike. Heated hand grips, electronic adjustable suspension. You can adjust rebound, dampening and preload (IIRC) by a button on the left handlebar. It also has ABS and a duo-lever front suspension (which eliminates brake dive and improves handling). It is also shaft drive to eliminate maintenance as well as a 6 speed transmission.

This is the specific bike used by Sargent Cycles to design their new World Sport seat and their Metro Tank Panel system. They are here in Jacksonville and I had a connection with the company so I let them use the bike to build the prototype. I will post their advertisement pictures later as I cant get the links from photobucket because my work blocks the site. I am not including the aftermarket seat with the bike. But would make a good deal if someone wanted it.

Factory options:
ABS brakes
Electronic adjustable suspension (ESA)
Heated grips
Factory center stand
Smart can-bus battery charger
Bumblebee paint.

Aftermarket options:
Throttlemeisters with factory painted yellow pinstripe to match bike
Akrapovic EVO exhaust w/stainless header titanium hexagonal can and carbon fiber tip. Sticker removed.
Evoluzione race filters
Evoluzione clutch/brake bleeder kit
Evoluzione clear front and rear turn signals
Evoluzione license plate reloc kit
Evoluzione billet clutch slave cylinder
Evoluzione billet foot peg relocation kit
Evoluzione billet torque arm with shims
Hornig side stand enlargement pad
Also includes large factory BMW tank bag and SargentCycle Metro Tank Panel System with small bag (large enough for sunglasses and cell phone).

Asking $14,300.

My boss has on 06. Bad Mutha. Fastest (top speed) production bike on the planet. He scares the hell out of me on that thing. I'll just chase him in my full-body, full frame Marauder!!!!

It really is scary fast. And it is a little heavier than some of the other smaller 1200's so it is VERY stable at speed. The best of both worlds.

Tell your boss, if he hasnt already, to look into the Akrapovic exhaust if he ever needs exhaust. Some of the best welds I have ever seen in my life. And they sound the best out of any I have heard as well. At least the EVO kit does which is their top of the line and is what I have..

There have been a number of comparisons between the Hayabusa and this bike. This bike beat the Hayabusa in parts and and I think top end or something the Hayabusa beat the BMW.

But the reviewers always pick the BMW as the best bike out of the two because of the total package.

I dont have links to the reviews. Alot of them were in German websites. But a web search would most likely find them. And I was originally linked to them from a few forums out there specific to this bike.

Haybusa would beat it in the 1320, but barely. This is less an acceleration bike and more a top end bike. Think Autobahn...

Hayabusa=fastest bike in the world - acceleration
K1200S=fastest bike in the world - top speed over measured mile

The ZX 14 is an awesome bike. In fact, that is the bike I was waiting for. I had a guy at the dealer call me the day they got their first 2 in and assembled. I went there the same day ready to buy. But when I sat on it it felt like crap. It was really high, and some of the plastic panels looked cheap. And my knees were outside of the tank cut outs. The salesman pulled me aside and told me about the BMW K1200S. He ran through all the features it had above and beyond the 14 and he thought I would feel more comfortabe on it as well. So I found one and was sold the second I sat on it.

They are tailoring the motorcycles for shorter and shorter people in my opinion. I felt just as comfortable if not more so (than the 14) on the 10R. Which is a shame.

The ZX14 has 197 at the crank. It is a powerful bike no doubt. But mine is probably in the 190 at the crank area and much better looking (subjective I know), more rare (there are 14's ALL over here, but I think there are 2 other BMW's of this model in my city), and fits better for anyone over about 5'11" or 6foot.

This is still for sale.

I should have the aftermarket seat on the bike soon. I may include the seat with the bike if someone purchased it for asking price.

PS The seat package is over $1000......

Guys, this thing is still for sale. I am willing to really work on the price if someone is willing to buy it quick and get it over with. I might include the seat as well.

If anyone is wondering why I would sell the bike.... It is only to move on to my next project. I have a tendency to get a vehicle, plan out all the upgrades I want, do the upgrades, and then sell. I enjoy the planning and doing part more than the 'enjoying the fruits of my labor' part.

So if anyone wants a top of the line bike or knows someone who does, let me know.
