At 12:45 today, Wednesday, 8 Aug 07, the Air Temperature here just south of Washington, DC was 101F (38C). The parking lot asphalt (apron) temperature was 137F (58C).
The hood of a black car was 165F (74C). The hood of a silver car was 135F (57C). Blue and DTR MMs would be in between those numbers.
Got this info from my official thermal guy. :D
So, Black MMs are the hottest cars. We've got the numbers now to prove it. ;)

Wet sanding and buffing are worth 3 degrees so that makes my SB the coolest one period!...:D

So let me get this straight. Silvers are the coolest and Blacks are the hottest.
Wow, you can't go wrong with either color! :lol:

Sounds good to me Al. So you can sand and buff my Silver MM prior to SSHS7. Need to have the car real slick:burnout: to cut wind resistance.

I'm Thankful They Make Those Sun Shades For My Marauder. It Keeps The Temps Down Inside When I Get In.

I know Silver birch was the only "color" that I was looking for, but I settled for black because I couldn't find any silver ones nearby, within my low mileage restriction.
Silver is great because it won't show dirt and scratches like black -- me trying to meticulously keep a black car scratch free is a suicide mission and I know it.
I wish they had made a white MM. If I ever have to repaint I'd consider a slightly off white.

If we we're talking steaks then;
Silver would be frozen.
Blue well done.
Red would be perfect.
and the Black, burnt.

This week my (normally outside) DTR is in the garage getting prepped for vacation. I'm driving my WHITE TBird SC to stay cool! It was 102 at my house in Herndon, VA yesterday. Jon

Man, temps are higher there than here in Florida. Only reached 94 here yesterday on the west coast.

Two days this week in downtown Orlando I got into the car after six pm to go home and the "outside temp" reading was 101. I park away from the edges, so the car is completely shaded from the sun all day while I am at the office.
