This thing looks like it has had the Sh-t kicked out of it. And the windshield says super charger. WTF! They must not be very smart sales people. The rated the overall condition as good. Ya RIGHT! That is one of the worst I have ever seen.

I have bad eyesight and all but I don't see no s/c...
That and the rear tire aren't the right size (and are Pirelli P6s) they look smaller than the fronts indicating another tire rotation gone bad. :)
But still who cares about tires, WHERE IS THE SUPER CHARGER??? :D

This is a perfect example of why I'm modifying my current car. Even buying this car would be a stretch financially for me. Look at how bad the condition is. Was this a theft recovery bought at auction by the dealer?

If it cleans up well and runs well it might not be so bad for $10k and 71,000 miles, if the damage up front is superficial enough an you can find a good bumper cover (not exactly easy used, expensive new) it's not really a bad daily driver.
Then again if it doesn't have an S/C now, did it in the past?
Its in Steve's neighborhood, whadja expect?

"The vehicle's transmission is smooth with no pings or worrisome noises."
Good because I hate it when my tranny ping's!
"Passanger side wheel well has a paint chip along the edge because of a wrong size tires that were on the vehicle bewfore. We put 2 brand new tires on the back."
Thanks for the 235's all around!
"Chrome on both front wheels is coming of."
How exactly does polished aluminum come off??
I think Im going to ask him what kind of supercharger is in the car and then sit back and let the fun begin as he tries to answer.
EDIT
I just asked this question....
Hi
On the windshield it says "supercharged", Can you tell me what supercharger is in the car? I dont know much about these cars other then the fact that they are rare and fast.
Thanks
Let the fun begin.

I like the upside down vin # I wonder if it was a one off from the factory?
you should email them and ask where they hid the super charger!

Its the right price and the mileage doesnt really mean much to this type of car.
It definitly not beyond saving.

Car has been on ebay a few times. Looks like it took a shot to the front and was never repaired correctly (besides the bumper being out of whack). If it drove nice, it woudlnt be a bad daily as stated before

The problem with a 10k Marauder that needs a repaint is that a factory or better quality repaint on black will be $6-8k, for starters. So at this point in time, to bring that car up to the condition that an $18k Marauder is, would cost more than 18k. You'd lose your shirt. It would be a good driver I suppose (although a beater Marauder driver is a sad sight!)

I asked him if he was willing to install the correct sized rear tires. Kinda curious if he knew what tires it took.

You are assuming that the factory paint looks good. There are a lot out there with crappy paint that did not hold up from the factory. Ask me how I know.

That may be the case, but my paint looks great, and if someone showed up at my door with $18,500 I'd probably give them the car. I know there are a lot of other cars like mine with great paint. Sooo... $6-8k worth of paint, still not worth it if you can find an $18k-ish car with nice paint.

His response.
"No we just put those tires on."
Was a answer ever given about the supercharger?
That car could be brought back easily enough. Usually the most expensive part of a restore is the labor.
In this case bumbers, lights, paint and body would be the ticket items. If you did not go for a show quality paint job and restored with a daily driver in mind. You could have a pretty decent car for under what a decent car would cost. IMHO.

Passanger side wheel well has a paint chip along the edge because of a wrong size tires that were on the vehicle before.Good thing the "wrong-size tires" on my car aren't causing any paint chips.
Chrome on both front wheels is coming off. This one speaks for itself...
Oh yeah, I found the supercharger. It's clearly there in the engine compartment picture. It's the whirly thing right in the middle, behind the coolant crossover tube. Isn't it?. :shake:

If anyone is interested, the local dealer here in Illinois (Moline) Has a late silver 2003 MM with 82,000 miles. Car looks to be in good shape. wheels look good. They are asking 12,900 for it and you may be able to get it cheaper. Has a dohnut spare and I think it had T/control but cant remember. let me know if anyone is interested. can take pics and check it out for ya.
