Tryna convert my 99 Grand Marquis to a Marauder. Will a fender off a 99 Crown Vic fit on there? What about the header Panel?

Crown Vic header panel won't work with a Marauder grille. Not sure about the fender, seems like the marker lights are a little different but I can't say for sure.

Stop right there. What the hell is with all these people trying to make a Marauder out of $1,500 cars? You like the look of a Marauder? Buy a real one. If you have a clone and get your ass whipped by a kid in a station wagon - you'll make Marauders the laughing stock of the planet. I have seen enough knock-offs to make me vomit.

For God's sake.....DON'T HOLD BACK!!!:shake:
Just remember.....IMITATION IS THE HIGHEST FORM OF FLATTERY!!:bows:
Look at it this way....If "Joe Blow" in his Firebird jumps on this clone he will undoubtedly have a high level of confidence when he jumps on a real Marauder (especially with a blower) and gets his butt handed to him on a platter!!
Note: I think you will need a hood and a Marauder header with grill and bumper....sounds expensive but you may just find the parts here and there??
Good Luck in your endeavor!!

You'll end up spending more doing the conversion than just buying a Marauder.

A lot of fun for a wannabee.. leave him alone.. he is on a mission...I saw a wooden body on a Rolls Royce last weekend at a car show...a nice roadster ... for nada.

Ok here is what you need.
CVPI Rear fascia (including solid color tailights. Tint to your desire)
Marauder rear bumper cover
Marauder front bumper cover
2003-2005 Mercury Marquis Header panel
Marauder headlights/marker lights
2003-2005 Marquis fenders
And of course, Marauder wheels/knockoff's (which are for sale on ebay for 680 shipped).
After all is said and done, this conversion just for the looks dept will cost well over $5k (done right). Plus, a DOCH conversion will run you anywhere in an additional $5-$7k range. These are just estimates. Anyone else chime in if they feel im off

If it's done right what about the interior? So $10K - $12K for the exterior and engine and another $2K - $3K for the interior........ +labor........
$12K - $15K+
You can buy an MM for that much money... in fact there is a SB on eBay now (http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Mercury-Grand-Marquis-MARAUDER-FLORIDA-IMMACULATE-AS-NICE-AS-IT-GETS-BIG-TOP-BOTTOM_W0QQcmdZViewItemQQcateg oryZ6340QQihZ016QQitemZ2601492 38366QQrdZ1QQsspagenameZWDVW)
for $15,888.00.... then you'll have a real Marauder.

The "total" conversion is going to be too costly, and is definately absurd.
If all he wants is the looks, so what, I doubt that he will go racing with it just because he has the appropriate apprearance items. The go fast was not as important to him, so the racing may not be either.
My conversion (http://www.mercurymarauder.net/forums/showthread.php?t=37555) is only going to be in the driveline, in order to go faster. I don't care about the looks or being the "real thing." It should still be less than buying a Marauder. If the go fast goods from GM or even a Honda fit, and are affordable, I would use them. My conversion has nothing to do with making a "clone".
On the otherhand: If you take a stock Marauder and alter it, it is no longer the real thing, right? ;)
BTW, The one on the ebay link looks to be a good deal. Wasn't Zack's also at the same price recently?
