Well I have good news, we have six of these in stock and I want to to do a group buy on these, I feel they are by far the best cold air kit for the Marauder as well as the late model Crown vics, so if we can get five confirmed I will sell these at 310.00 with plus shipping. Below it is shown with the Optional Metco intake tube.

Zack Metco does not sell that ube any more and they are very expensive, I could ask them if they would make some if again there is enough interest.

Do you have a picture of the standard tube installed on a vehicle available?
I was wondering about it's flow vs the JLT? I definitly like the way it looks in the picture w/the CF inlet and it appears that the inlet is better protected from heat than the JLT, but there is a big price difference from the JLT to this one. Can you give me a quick comparison on the benefits of this one vs the JLT?

I've got a PHP installed on mine using the standard tube and love it. Can't speak to comparisions between a JLT and the PHP, but I like to looks, sound, and improved performance that came with the install.

I chose the PHP CAI kit due to a few factors...
1. I like the finished look.
2. Not fully sealed from engine bay heat, but better than other CAI kits in this regard.
3. No rubbing against the hood underside.
4. I like how it fits as if it were designed for this location, rather than a generic looking item that somewhat fits.
5. Why pay a cheaper price for an item only to replace it later with the more costly one?
6. I got mine from Dennis so that I could have his cool sticker on it! ;) Kidding of course, I wanted to support a MM.net vendor.

Look at post #6 above to see mine.

I see that your relatively new here, Welcome!

BTW-if you don't know how to search yet, you can scroll down to the bottom of each page and you'll see "Similar Threads" box that sort of does a search for you. In this case, you'll see an older thread on this very topic called "Difference in Cold air Kits" (http://www.mercurymarauder.net/forums/showthread.php?t=21830) that might answer some of your questions.

I also would like to see the prices on a GB of the Metco Tubes... They look good and are I believe a bit flatter or lower than other tubes around. I want one!

The PHP filter housing is without a doubt the best IMHO looks good fits good and keeps much of the hot air off the filter.

I have the a PHP kit (Hey Dennis how come I didn't get a Reinhart sticker in my package??) hooked up with a JLT tube. It looks good but does rub the hood liner. My Trilogy is a little taller than the factory intake which is probably what the tube rubs but I would like to stop the rubbing. Also the Metco seems to be a smoother radius which I would believe should help with overall air flow (less restriction and turbulence).

Anyway PHP CAI is worth the money it fits as well as it works and if Dennis can get them the Metco tube has my vote. Let us know Dennis?

When you talk Carbon Fiber you are talking $.
Metco quit selling these because of this, but yes they would do a run of these if I asked for it, and I am honest reguardless of some opinions the Metco Carbon fiber tube does look awsome, but in reality it flows close to the same as the OEM but if the club wants it I will do make it happen. And the stickers are free.

Thanks Dave, you can also hear the dyno pull for the current setup here (http://www.mercurymarauder.net/forums/showpost.php?p=536898&postcount=64).

I must say again, the credit goes to Dennis Reinhart, Steve, & Edwin for doing a fantastic job on my car!
