Sicilianmarquis---What is the model number of the battery that you are using? How are you holding it in place? I don't need a battery yet, but I want the info for future reference.
WOW, what a repair job that car needed, looks good!

You really should blur your tag man - now I have your address, name, DL# and VIN. Useful info in the right hands. Please tint the windows black so people don't think that Marauders are like a granny car on the inside with a fake nose and glasses glued on. I want to turn a 1982 Cavalier into a Supra Turbo. Good idea?

It looks very nice. However, not to flame you, the paint could have been better, and leaving the door handles too would have been a nicer touch.
I can applaud your effort, but i cannot reward your effort ;)
*edit* I'm just bustin balls a lil bit. At least you didnt choose Rust Orange like that ebay clone*

Judging from the header, i would have to say what it is now. Looks like that whatever thats in front of the car smashed it after a brutal storm...
Could be wrong though

Man you guys are brutal. It obviously took alot of time and $$$ to complete that. I like it. Now you need to find a wrecked Marauder and redo the interior. Keep up the good work!!!

I think it looks great but this thread started out as a 3 part series and the final picture is of the car with the front end smashed. I'm curious if after all this work was the car hit or was this what he started with?

Now that I've seen it I think the shaved door handles is a good look. I hope the last pic isn't an after photo.

Thats a nasty crash, but it looks fixable. As long as there isnt any major frame damage you should be ok.

See, the the thing is, someone can see your car in a parking lot, write down the vin, go to a dealer and tell them they lost the key for their car, and have it cut for your vin, and drive off with it. That would be even easier than trying to track someone down over the internet.

I like the car and I like the idea of what you did. I, personally, would like to find a wrecked Marauder or slowly start putting Marauder parts together for my CVPI. Mostly interior stuff.
I want to do the Marauder front and rear seats and center console with floor shift. Maye a set of Marauder wheels and of course the motor. That would make for a little nicer daily driver with limited cash out lay and still have my true Marauder to have fun with.

bzzzzzzzt!
For one thing the dealership is required to demand id and proof of ownership before cutting any keys and for another if someone does succeed in getting a key cut unless its programmed to the vehicle the PATS system will prevent the engine from starting.
Anyway, nice looking car! Hope the front end doesn't give you too much of a problem getting fixed.

A dealer will cut a key for a known customer, but to walk in off the street you will have to show proof of ownership and drivers license. Also don't forget about the key having to be programmed to start the car.
In the dealers I have worked for no proof---no key!
Before you say it I will.........I'm sure there are dirty dealership personel out there.

Ok you may not be able to steal the fakie woodgrain-trimmed "Marauder", but with most people's cars you can look up the license plate.
Blackened 300A found my full name, full address, vin#, expiration date, using ONLY my license plate # from a photo. He says he only used the internet to look it up.
That is pretty scary!
