If you could buy only ONE of these, for the time being, which would you prefer, and why?

No brainer. Tune will give you 10 or more HP and improved performance overall.

CAI will add maybe 5 HP and the thing will still shift like a golf cart.

Lower priced mods in order of bang for buck:

tune
4.10 gears (still needs a tune)
CAI

I took a bone stock car and ran 14.49 on a tune only, for another $28 a K&N drop in filter to replace the OEM filter will improve air flow.

Just a CAI with original bonestock tuning is a waste of money.

Agree with above, tune will give you more if you can only do one. As stated by Smokie the K&N panel filter with a computer reset after adding the tune will help.

Whats behind your question? You have a blower, so obviously you have a tune already.

I netted almost 27 RWHP and 32 RWTQ from a tune. So my choice is obvious.

Why the hell didnt ford release these cars with an aggressive tune to begin with, Im assuming to slide uner gas guzzler taxes, but come on now blackened300a unlocked 27rwhp?!? Thats alot of power to be wasting away just because of a poor stock tune. But I guess I'm just preaching to the choir, just like they should have came with a blown 5.4...

Sal (POWERSURGE) said that the marauder is one of the most detuned cars from Ford. Just about every other car hes tuned will pull another 8-15 RWHP but the Marauder is always 20-25 RWHP
I had U/D pullies, PHP intake spacer and a PHP intake on my car at the time my car was strapped on the dyno.
From baseline untuned numbers to a adjusted final number after tuning was in fact 27RWHP and 32RWTQ.

Definitely TUNE, hands down!!!
Besides picking up some extra HP & Torque, the new shift schedule and firmer shifts and no more speed governor are more than worth the money for the tune!

Tune as well. Though more expensive than a CAI, it truly offers more driving pleasure.

A tune will give more hp/tq but also improves the driveability factor of the Marauder. Having driven both a CAI and no-tune and a tune no-CAI I can say the tune made the most difference in the driving experience. Of course, save pennies after the tune and get a CAI for the fun of that "woosh-woosh" noise. :)

Of those who have voted for a CAI, what is your reasoning?
