Finally broke down and upgraded the audio system yesterday. I have a Pioneer S1 nav unit, OEM head unit & sub woofer for sale (to post later) as well as OEM CD changer soon.

I kept the Infinity Kappas I swapped in @2004 and replaced everything else. Here's the shopping list:

Optima Yellowtop D34/78 battery
Pioneer AVIC Z2 w/bluetooth & iPod modules (thanks turbo Todd & John Kuhn)
Alpine PDX-4.100 4x100w cabin speaker amp
Alpine PDX-1.600 1x600w sub woofer amp
JL Audio 10W3v3 4ohm 10" sub woofer in custom box firing through the OEM sub opening.

Amps & sub are mounted on trunk shelf next to full-size spare. Dynomated the trunk shelf area. Custom cover with "peek-a-boo" pull out insert hides it all for clean stealthy look.

Peek-a-boo I see you

Great install over all EXCEPT... had a scratch on one Alpine faceplate (see pic - already replaced with a new one today) AND they crushed the lids on my trunk organizer. :(:mad2: - not a problem. I will get a whole replacement assembly courtesy of Car Toys!

Correction you have a Pioneer Avic Z2. This is the top of the line Pioneer with dual zone and Nav plus a big hard drive.

You lost me John. That's what I have written at the top of my list. I even mentioned you as the source. :P

Do you mean the CD cartridge for the changer? That has to go with the changer. Be hard to do any changing without it.

I think he saw where you mentioned the radio you are selling. S1 I believe.

It looks great man. Damn, I wish I would have gotten it installed before the deal I had with my existing radio ran out. It looks awesome.

And I bet all the features are going to be even better.

The only number on it I see resembling a Ford part number on it is:

3F1T-18C833-AA

Check with Ray "The Dealer" (member on the board). If its a Ford part, he can find it.

They tend to be expensive from FORD, even at cost I think they were at least $50

Me either. Nice. Nice set up, Bruce. Cant wait to see {hear} it in person.

Are they buying you a new organizer? If they are, is the old one still "usesable"?

The lids are shot but the lower piece is reusable.

As for the music thing, I think you whipper snappers would be pleasantly surprised at the variety of my CD collection.

PS. Its Brute... not Bruce. Bruce is that other old guy.
