This particular mod was first done by Zack and he now sells them on the site as a vendor.
The first grill I made was how ILLSS proposes to do it.
He wont know how much easier it is to do my way until he tries it.

My idea was to HOOK fellow MM owners up with this IF it turns out ok on my car an CHARGE only for materials/time which would be around 50-75 if u drop ur grill off (thats why i said chicagoland ) .

Im all for it!
Im just saying until you try it both ways, you wont know which way is easier.
But know this, your time and services are worth WAY more than $50-$75

Badgeless grills are cool, but what I'm looking for is an EX-MET (expanded metal) grill, which will give a true race-car look. The material is often aluminum or stainless, and is kind of like chicken wire, in that the material forms diamonds. I love this look, and have never seen one on an MM.

Mother?
I love it!
Yes, that's exactly what I mean, only I want mine in natural finish e.g. aluminum or stainless. Did you paint the material? PM sent.;)
fastcar:burnout:
Ooh, and you did the lower vents just as I imagined them! Really nice. They are in a different material - I like the natural finish on them. The only thing left is to punch out the fog lamps, and insert the material there, too. THAT would be the ultimate, bad-ass racer look:cool:
I dont make these anymore, they are a huge PITA.

Also i decided to make my own grill after a grill was sold before i could get my hands on it . I put a halt on making my own grill but since it was sold an i wanted one bad i had my employees use mine as the test one an minus the few dust particles (needs to be resprayed cause i rushed them an wanted it the same day) it came out pretty good. Pics to follow after car wash.

Ha! You are a funny guy, CRUZ. I'd love to see someone market Zack's ex-met grill. I'd like to see a natural stainless steel finish option. IllSS?

Illss, looks very good, Have you thought of trying to have the waterfalls (beams) chrome with the black outer surround?
I have always been interested in a custom grille of some sort.

One member has a neat grille: he has the chrome grill from grandpa's Marquis, but the grill is painted black. You get a black grill with a chrome border. I can't remember if it is badgless or not, though...

I want to make my own badgless grill as one of my winter projects. I was wondering if you guys could shoot me some pointers/tips as to how you go about it. I actually want to do the mesh look, I don't care if it's a huge PITA since I would be doing it for myself. Where did you get the material and what is the best way to secure it into the grill frame? Any help would be most appretiated. :bows:

Hmmm... I can't decide between a badgless grill or a honeycomb style.

This thread got me thinking that I would like one of those Ex-Met grills for DD use and maintain the Zack badgeless for show+shine ... just an idle thought...
