Another A/C strange issue

Strange issue :
- I can hear the blower / fan working and I have even cold (or hot if choosen) air coming from the defrost vents
- no air at all is coming from the dashboard air vents whatever mode is selected on the digital control ("vent", "floor", "normal a/c", 'max a/c"...) while I clearly hear the blower working !

I saw 2 dealers. Both of them would recommend that I buy a new a/c control unit but that cost millions ! I am wondering whether it is not just the blower speed control (78 Can$) or something else, not related to electronics.

Is there anybody who faced the same picture ? How did you fix it ?
Is there anybody who can help ?

You either have a vacuum leak or a leaking HVAC / EATC head unit. Checkout this if you want to repair your EATC module:

What I understand is that the EATC control unit is toast. Right ?

Next problem comes from the fact that I have 5 thumbs on each hand. Do you know a good source from where I could find a good working second hand unit ?

I found a used electronic control unit at my local junk yard for $75 several years ago. I have also seen them on ebay. This unit is used on many ford models. Changing this control head is so easy anyone can do it.

Try eBay or a local junk... excuse me.... automotive recycle yard.

I can attest to this fix and it worked for me.....for about 2 or 3 weeks (I only replaced two of them)...I found a used head unit from my dealership that they were throwing away, it came from a 2000 GM....I opened it up and began the transplant.....it looks complicated when you read it and when you open up your unit but it is really very simple...WATCH OUT FOR THE SPRINGS!!! They will fly out on you if your not careful.

What cars use the same EATC as ours? I'd like to just pull out the old one and install a new one out of some other car if possible.

I did the o ring change in my EATC this weekend and I have the same issue. AC switches between defrost and floor. I previously had it at the dealer and they found no vaccum leak. I am thinking control unit is bad. Any other ideas. Thanks.
