My mortgage representative suggested I sell my marauder in order to qualify better to purchase a home. Sadly I must agree. Can anyone suggest the best way to sell it? I got it last June (yes, first on the block) and it has 21,000 miles on it. Excellent condition, regular wear and tear on a one-year old car. CarMax is pretty far away so if anyone has any local ideas (I'm in NJ) other than newspaper ad I'd appreciate it. Also, do you think I can expect to get what the KBB value has reported? Any feedback is appreciated.:(

Think twice, TV. The MM is big enough to live in! Forget the house! Seriously, I know all about having to make some tough financial decisions sometimes. Even though you're getting rid of the car, keep hanging around the board and your friends.

oofff. TV this situations always stink....and it is even worse if it is a Marauder....I sold 2 cars using Auto Trader in less than 2 weeks...now they were not MM's....

Tough situation.....hopefully you are not upside down in it.....for $75 you can get 9 pictures and a really long detailed ad on AutoTrader.com....and it runs till it sells.....Just hope someone in the area really takes a liking to it...that is probably your best bet....

Sorry to hear about this..... :(

TV - I agree with Ross, think twice. You will take a big hit when you sell your MM. :(

I agree with both of you, I get a sick feeling in my stomach when I realize how much one year of driving a marauder will have cost me. But when I find a house in the near future, I'll have to cut my losses. Who knows, maybe I won't find a house and I'll sleep in the marauder as was suggested earlier.;)

Just my .02c here, but I've refinanced 3x in the last two years, to take advantage of the changing rates. Before you turn the MM over, get a second opinion on the need to do so. Your finance dude may be the one upside down. Since this market got hot, EVERYONE can get me better financing numbers, but who among them really knows their trade?

Just a thought, on a tough decision...

Don't have an MM yet, but I feel your pain...had to sell my customized IROC convertible with 37K miles on it for the extra cash to buy my home seven year years ago. Lost more than a few grand because of the timing. But, although I get nostalgic when I see one on the road, over all it was well worth it. I have sold several vehicles through www.carbuyersmarket.com You can get the web and their weekly newspaper ad for one price. Good luck.
