spoke with some major tire distributors and these are on backorder for 3 months or so :bs:

soooo... does anyone have one of these in perfect/near perfect condition they could sell me? i only need ONE bc my current left rear tire is going bald in the middle and the right one is practically brand new (theres a story in this lol). it literally has less than 1k miles on it. i dont know what to do... i cant get any sort of a refund on the new rear and the left one might last 3 months, but id rather get a new one on there and align the beast =/

HALP!

Wow, I just looked on tirerack.com, discounttiredirect.com and they were all back ordered and their wasn't any on ebay.com.

1010tires.com has them for $268 a piece!!!

EastCoastTires.com has them for $149 a piece, might want to give them a call (800-560-7834) and see if they have any in stock since their the lowest price.

I posted an ebay link recently...there has been a ton of threads lately about this predicament. We are ALL aware of the issue.

I need two.

As far as you wearing just one out...sounds like you need a new LSD as well. :dunno:

I bought four bfg 255/55-18 kdw2 tires from him when I found out bfg stopped making the kdw2 series tire. Now all I need is drag radials and I'll be set for a few years with having a summer, winter and racing set of tires lol.

FYI for EastCoastTires.com, when I ordered 2 BFG KDW2's for the front, they called me and said they only had one in stock nationwide! So, be weary when ordering, and give them a call first to make sure they have them in stock.

Order 2x 255/55/18's and sell your good tire on ebay or here.

Any issues with running the front size tire all around if you make the correction with an xcal 2? This way the spare would work with all four rather than the front two. I have been thinking about doing this next time I need tires, this way I can rotate them as well.

I run fronts all the way around. If you have traction control this would be an issue but my 300A is fine with the tire rpm adjusted and I dont think I'll go to a bigger tire any time soon. I like having the same tire size all the way around and the cost difference between the frt/rr tires is unjustified IMO, not to mention availability. I adjusted the rear suspension slightly to give the car some rake.

whats an LSD?

and yea, ill try giving those places mentioned a call. i dont really want to have different tires in the back, but thats obviously an option. was just hoping someone would have a horde of tires stocked up somewhere in their garage, heh.

Edit: just spoke with EastCoastTires and theyre out

Buy 255/55/18 Nitto 420s and don't look back. Better grip, better wear, better availability, and lower price.

I ran the 235/50 all around for a while cause BFG didn't have any rears in stock and both of my rears went flat the same day. I just corrected my revs per mile and had to turn off the traction control whenever I would go above 40-45mph. Other than the car looking funny (no rake stance) it was fine.

whats an LSD?

Limited slip differential.
Only one tire turning is a good indication it's done.
Having one bald rear tire....see above.:o

How about some really good looking falkens 255/55/18s?
I like the Rikens in 255/45/18 for the front. Then you get big meats all the way around, and a little rake, too.

http://www.tires-easy.com/start.html

search for this size, and you will have multiple cheap choices. I'll need some next summer, and this is my plan...
