Driver door lock actuator. Takes about 20 minutes to replace. It takes a little mechanical knowledge and a giant rivet gun. Pay ANY mechanic a $20 bill to do it on the side.

Instead of the large rivet you might be able to use a short 1/4-20 nut & bolt.

If you use a bolt use a lock washer.

I had mine replaced recently. However, my left rear was acting up just like your front one.
As for doing the job, the latch has to be removed from the door in order to access the upper mount.

Do not take it to the DEALER. I just had the exact same problem and took it to the dealer and they charged me $300 to do the fix. And yes it was just the acuater (or however you spell it).
