I'm looking for a set of police style rims for my '04 Crown Vic Sport. I'd like to buy a set of dedicated snow tires for this upcomming winter and I need to have a second set of rims.

Thanks, Phil

You might think about new ones. I remember the junkyard quoting me more than I paid for new. Contact Ray ("The Dealer" on this site) for a discounted price for new ones.

I have 4 of the same ones Silversurfer03 has brand new. Don't need them since I already have a dedicated set of wheel/tires for winter.

Rich, the wheels are going to be 16x7. You can do a wide range of tires from the size that tirerack.com offers up to a 235/70-16 (Front) 255/70-16 (rear) which is what I did following suit from Joe "Dragcity" since my MM is a DD and want more contact surface, plus it raised the car height about an inch for better ground clearance if needed to get into some deep snow. Just can't go fast on them like regular tires lol.

Were not the 06 CVPI wheels 17 inch? Secondly, be sure to check the ID #s on the 16 inch wheels to be sure they are not involved in the weld breaking recall. Many many CVPI wheels are covered.. Maybe the Dealer can post the recall... thanks,

The following is an edited version of the recall. I took out a lot of the extra BS they put in.

CERTAIN 2003 MODEL YEAR CROWN VICTORIA POLICE AND COMMERCIAL
HEAVY DUTY — STEEL WHEEL INSPECTION/REPLACEMENT

This procedure involves inspecting all five (5) steel wheels for the engineering part number suffix, then if necessary, the wheel build date code. Any wheel found to be built within a specified date range must be replaced.
• Under this Safety Recall, any wheel built from August 18, 2001 through September 22, 2002 (date codes “K401 8 18” through “K402 9 22”) must be replaced.
• Any wheel found to be built from September 23, 2002 through April 22, 2003 (date codes “K402 9 23” through “K403 4 22”) is eligible for inspection and possible replacement as per Customer Satisfaction Program 03M03.

INSPECTION
1. Remove the hub caps
2. Inspect the engineering part number suffix on all wheels.
NOTE: The engineering part number is located on a raised surface on the outside face of the wheel between two lug bolt holes. The suffix is the last two letters of the part number. Any wheel with either a “CC” or “CD” suffix is subject to further inspection. Wheels with any other suffix are not included in this program.
• If the suffix is “CC” or “CD” — that wheel is subject to further inspection. See step 3.
• If the suffix is NOT “CC” or “CD” — no further inspection or service is required on that wheel.
Step 3 Clean the wheel around the valve stem as necessary and read the build date code.
NOTE: The date code is stamped next to the valve stem.
Wheel build date codes are shown as follows:
K401 8 18
K4: Manufacturer/factory
01: Year of production
8: Month of manufacture
18: Day of manufacture

• Any wheel found to be built from August 18, 2001 through September 22, 2002 (date codes “K401 8 18” through “K402 9 22”) must be replaced.
• Any wheel found to be built from September 23, 2002 through April 22, 2003 (date codes “K402 9 23” through “K403 4 22”) is eligible for inspection and possible replacement as per Customer Satisfaction Program 03M03. (in other words, avoid these build dates too)
