All Note.
Installed today at Lafayette Car Wash
in Lafayette, CA. 45 minutes on side windows. 11Mil thick, rear are tinted and keep out 80% heat and front sides are
clear (law here in Calif.) & keep out 30%
of the heat-99% of UV is stopped. (This is good because the sun already lightened one arm of my lite-weight MM nylon jacket thru rear side window)
YOU CANNOT break thru with a hammer.
Also cuts down on outside sound making the MM more quiet. It's Called
ACE WINDOW ARMOR- Cost is 449.00
Ck. www.acesafety.com I am really satisified as they did a great job and the car is safer.
Much less glass flying around in an accident! It's been used by govt.agcy's for years.

Warren - Sounds good. Did they also replace the stationary glass in the rear doors?

No. This is a very heavy film with many layers and goes on the inside of all the side windows.
It will stop break-in's cold (takes forever to get thru), protect stuff on seats and add more safety in an accident.

Ummm...I'm confused, Warren. ------John asked if this film is applied to the "stationary windows" in the rear doors, and you reply "no." Then you go on to say "all" the side windows are protected. Perhaps you misunderstood ------John's question?
Just my .02c here, but the rear quarter glass (stationary window) is the number 1 point of entry into most vehicles stolen, or, stolen from vehicle. It would be wise to protect them too.

it is no more than THICK window tint. invisible bra is 8 mil thick 3m film. window film is usually 4 mil thick multi layered film.

Warren - I got it now, it's similar to window tint, but is made up of several layers of material that is applied to the factory glass. Is that correct? Was:confused:

My only comment here is-
-coming from the Fire Emergency Responce services field view point--I hope you don't need emergency service personnel for rescue thru this access port...as you mentioned gov't agencies use it.etc.... trust me on this one--in an emergency---these folks don't need more problems that hinders whats thrown at them...after all..it's you they are trying to get out--and quickly....so if this stuff makes it MORE difficult to break than (whatever is) normal.....you might want to think more about it's application ...my .02c worth....

This stuff is scarry but not nearly as bad as lexon(SP) glass.... takes a good couple of minutes to setup the recip saw and use the jaws to pry the window frame out of the way enough for the blade to have access to glass.... Not to mention the airbag and battery canister/cables running threw A, B, and C post.

With two layers of 5% (since the laser surgery to repair the hole in my retina - I can't see in bright lite) I don't worry about anyone breaking these windows...
At least not where my Colt won't hear 'em!!!
