I looking for accessory power connection under the dash. I'm looking to change the power source of my Line lock to an accessory line rather than the constant power of the cigarette lighter. I don't want to tie it to the radio, and I'd like for it to be a 20 amp line. Any information is appreciated since I don't feel like getting under the dash and poking every wire I see.
Thanks,
Ed

The only reliable sources of power you'll get with the ignition ON are at the switch under the driver knee bolster. If you're remotely handy with tools, PM me and I will tell you EXACTLY which wire to tap into and what it will do in any given key position.

I would not power anything off an existing line unless the amp draw was minuscule.
I'd use a relay, switched on with any accessory feed you like (radio would work fine if you want) with a separate fused source.

(note, 03+ utilize pin I2 (Voltage w/ start - LG/VT wire)

Ed, just move the BLUE wire from the relay harness to the switched ignition source (like radio). This will give you what you want. BTW, retrofit parts are on their way to Greg for the LED. I got it working perfect in my car (finally).

I put in the line lock wiring for Ed. If he moves the blue wire as suggested, the only things will power are the 'armed' LED (built into the switch) and the coil of the relay. <.5 amp.

Here is how I rewired the ckt to get the led to work and to remove the switching of power from the cigarette lighter to the relay. I'm looking to change the power source to a line that won't be in use when typically using the LL. The radio line will probably be in use listening to the tower when on the line. Something like the remote trunk lock........did I just answer my own question? Any other options would be nice just in case the remote trunk lock doesn't pan out.

Right now the 12v ACC line is actually from the cigarette lighter.

The trunk clicker is nowhere near that part of the dash.
There's a 12V IGN in the OP gauge harness. It's not NEAR enough power, though. You need the 12V constant on the blue. Just move the coil side to ACC.
Is it that you are using something on the cig when racing? A g-tech or something? The power to the port in the armrest is on a separate circuit, I think.
