Marauder Tune day - Fort Myers

I am working to schedule a Marauder tune day with Scott Beer at J&J Performance in Fort Myers on Saturday, September 29th. It is limited to five cars only and three slots have been reserved. Cost including dyno time is $300./car.

I'd be interested in watching! I have never been to a 'tune' before, only seen pics and videos. Unfortunately, at this time, I can't afford the dyno. Just got back from vacation and just had stereo system upgraded. But I would love to watch!

Watching should not be a problem as long as you stay out of the shop. Liability issues etc and we don't need to bother the Master. The dyno is by the garage door so you will get the full "sound effect." If I was you, I would turn in some soda cans and get your car "professionally tuned." It will shift and perform completely different. Just a suggestion.

Oh, trust me, I would love to get 4:10s and a tune and a bunch of other stuff. But, now that I am engaged I need to put my Fiance First, not that she didn't come first before. I have to start thinking about future stuff, and then whatever is left over, I can play with. I remember in michigan as a kid collecting 'pop' cans for the .10 deposit. No deposit in Fla though:(

Fully understand. Been there, done that. Plenty of time down the road for mods. You are welcome to come on over. Just promise not to :drool: to much. Shop is next to Bill Branch Chevy used car lot off Fowler Street.

Ya, you should hear what :bows:RWHP he made:eek:. For SSHS7 the SSM/F.I.T. race team is going to make a serious showing;). Have to wait to see when this is going to happen. He is slammed on Saturday. I may have to go up there on Thursday. I'll let you know.

The Fort Myers tune day is off. Rich (Magindat) will be over at D'Agostini Racing around 2 PM. I will not be coming over as I have put my race tune off until Tuesday, October 30th awaiting a little cooler weather.

THe dyno day at D'Agostino Racing, though off to a slow start was a success.

In true SSM fashion, Cobra 25, Greggash, Blackmobile and JohnNero showed up for moral (or immoral) support. Greggash and Blackmobile, I'm sure, wanted to see the results of their work!!!!

I had the privilege of meeting and getting to know Scott Beer. Aside from being a penominally gifted tuner, he is a wise businessman and a cracker jack with his customer service. In addition, he genuinely cares about the cars and the owners who come to him. As the guys down south had assured me, I was pleased.

The car made 436hp and 412tq on 10 lbs boost at WOT. It made 411hp at 5K on one run. Eventually, the 90mm Lightning MAF pegged and we backed it down a bit for safety with no real change in HP or torque.

I learned a crapload about tuning and was once again reminded that we must have our cars tuned by folks with MARAUDER know-how. While a Mustang tuner can get it right on a Dyno, once our weight come into play, a Mustang based tune is too much for our motors.

All in all, I gained 135HP and 119Torque over and already fully modified bolt on car with stock internals. It's a safe all-weather tune and runs glass smooth.

Glad to hear that everything turned our well for you Rich. One of the things that I admire about Scott is making sure that everything is safe for your motor. Yeah it may run a bit fat at the low end, but as Scott said it is necessary due to the weight of our cars. It is a nice feeling to know that you had support from our SSM crew. But I would expect no less.:beer:.

I'm glad your happy with the Tune you got from Scott. He's a great guy and a great tuner, He really does care. I'm sorry I couldn't stay till the end , but I'm glad you got what you were looking for . Great Numbers !
