Alan - Welcome to the MM site. You sure came to the right place. Logan the owner of this site lives in Texas as do many other Marauder owners. I'am sure one of them can hook you up. Good luck.

Alan, It's not quite the same league, but interesting to build up. DOHC vs SOHC-- DOHC will always win.

I thought NO OHC always won :P . I've only seen a handful (at most) of marauders here in SE Houston. One of which i could've sworn has a ragtop. I've been wanting to test drive one for a while now. A dealership in TX City has 2 (1 used, 1 new still). I just haven't made time to go down yet. Since they've been sitting there a good amount of time, they could probably be had for a good price. Happy hunting

You should be able to pick one up here in Texas for $26.5k + TTL... If you can't find out in Houston at that price, let me know, I can get them here in Dallas for that...
Logan,
Thanks! I appreciate that. I hope I don't have to call in the favor.
I'm going first thing Monday morning to talk to my local dealer. He has 5 on his lot. I've already got one picked out.

Alan
Welcome aboard...I am also in Houston (SW).
Which dealer are you using?
RAUDER,
I'll be using Northwood L/M up on I-45 N near Splashtown.

Logan,
I should have asked in my last post...but what is your source?
Do you mind sharing the name of the dealership?
As you know, information is a powerful weapon. If I go in tomorrow and am able to give my dealer a name/price of the same car in Dallas...it might work in my favor. At the very least it would be the Ace in the hole if backed into a corner and I'm forced to show my hand.

Alan, welcome to the club. I live in SW Houston and work in the Westheimer/Beltway 8 area. I drive to Orange on business every so often, and they have had 2 MM's on the lot for a long time. I don't know if they are A's or B's, or one of each. Orange is a small enough town that there should only be one LM dealer, so it should be easy to locate to check out the price. After I got my car, I first tried service at Bayway LM on the Gulf Freeway. I do not recommend them! I have had good luck with Southwest Lincoln Mercury, service tech is Sammy Romano. If you want to talk, call me at my office 713 840 1666.
Well...I'm a new MM owner. Brought her home tonight!
Thanks to each of you for your help, support, and information.
I look forward to being a contributing member, but for now...I think I'll sit back, shut up, and listen to those with experience.
Logan...thanks for the information you provided. It actually proved valuable!
Congrats Alan! And, may I be the first to OFFICIALLY welcome you as a new owner/member.
Lots of info and friends here to help you. Your two best friends now are the "Search Box" in the top left- hand corner, and all of us here...who'll be glad to answer/help in any way.
Enjoy...that grin won't be leaving for a while.

Congrats! Glad I could help... :)
Can't wait to learn more about this car from all of you. I've been lurking for quite some time, but I'm ready to really sink my teeth into things.
The baby gets window tint in the morning at the dealer!
